Making Your Bird Seed Feeders
Go with a simple ribbon or tinsel or add other embellishments to make it your own.

Try your hand at adding a pretty bow, fun embellishments or anything that would give this craft a more natural or even an exaggerated look.
Whatever you are going after!

Ingredients
- Two or more TP rolls. I used four rolls.
- Cardboard. I used some pieces from an old Amazon box.
- A pair of scissors
- A pencil or pen
- Twine or ribbon
- Bird seed, nuts, dried fruit
- A shallow pan, plate or bowl
- Peanut Butter, Almond Butter or another sticky nut butter.
- A butter knife or another utensil.
- A work surface. I used a large paper plate.
Instructions
- Using your scissors, cut a small hole near the top of your toilet paper rolls for the ribbon to go through.
- Cut the desired length of ribbon or twine for each roll and tie to the roll creating a closed loop.
- Using your butter knife or perhaps the back of a spoon, apply your choice of nut butter to the entire outside of the roll. Be generous to allow the seeds the ability to stick and stay in place.
- Pour your seed mixture into a shallow pan, plate or bowl.
- Roll the toilet paper roll into the seed mixture until all nut butter has been covered.
- Allow them to sit for 5-10 minutes before hanging.
- While these are resting, draw whatever shape you desire onto your cardboard. Perhaps a candy cane, gingerbread man, reindeer, snowman, bells, santa hat, etc.
- Using your scissors, cut the shapes out and then cut a small hole near the top of each one.
- Repeat the steps above to decorate and hang your bird seed feeder ornaments.
- Alternatively, you can cover just one side or cover both sides with the seed mixture.
