One of the things I love doing any time of year is crafting. During my busy work day, I like to take breaks not only for my physical body, but also for my mind and eyes to lower the stress and keep going with focus. Tiny and quick crafts are my favorites. They take only a few minutes to complete, but they are so relaxing and fill my soul with more inspiration and peace.
Take a look at this quick Flower Twisting craft I did during one of my relaxing times from the work I do. It took me, may be, three minutes to make. But it gave me so many ideas, that I decided to make a post out of it!

Here is how to make these beautiful DIY Glitter Stem Wine Glasses
As you see from the pictures, you won’t need a lot. If you are a crafter or do work around the house, you may already have everything you need. If not, check out your dollar store first to get these things at the least expense to yourself. I get a lot of things from Amazon these days, as I have limited time to go shopping with all the work and kids’ activities that require us to travel long distances for events.

You Will Need These Ingredients to Make Your Glitter Glasses
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Wine Glasses (I picked mine up at the dollar tree for $1 each!)
- Extra Fine Glitter (If you get regular glitter it will look a little sloppy!), you can buy it HERE
- Mod Podge (I also found a small bottle of this at the dollar tree, but you can also find it at most craft stores); you can buy it HERE
- Painters Tape, buy it HERE
- Small Paint Brush, you can buy it HERE
Step-by-Step Instructions for my DIY Glitter Steam Wine Glasses
Step 1: Pick out your colors! I decided to go with red and pink for the upcoming holiday. Make sure your glasses are clean and grease free.
Step 2: Using your painters tape tape your glass where the stem ends. This will prevent glitter where you don’t want it. You can buy this inexpensive tape for your craft projects HERE.

Step 3: Pour some of your mod podge on a plate. Using a small paint brush paint an even layer of mod podge on the base and stem of your wine glass.

Step 4: once you have covered your surface with mod podge, pour your glitter over the surface, shake loose any excess.

Step 5: Set your now glittered wine glasses somewhere safe to dry, and let dry over night.
TIP: You could also put a coat of mod podge over your glitter, which will seal it in, but it may not be as shine. However, you can get a GLOSS Mod Podge (you can buy it HERE) to capture that attractive glossy look. That’s a personal preference choice there!

Glitter Glasses Ideas
Here are a few craft ideas for the glitter glasses you can implement when you have a need for it.
Use Stencils for Glitter Shape
Using a stencil for a glitter glass project works great when you need to cover only part of the surface of the glass. You can easily take any existing stencils or make your own. Depending how complex a stencil may be, I usually use a sturdy card paper stock to cut out a shape like a heart or shamrock leaf, a star and so on.
If you have a letter-shape stencil you want to use, go for it! Check out HERE for some many stencils for your glitter wine glass craft for any occasion!

I love glitter so much, and this is adorable. I think my hubs would think I was crazy if I made them but he’d just shake his head and be happy that I was happy. I’ll have to grab some wine glasses and try this craft idea. Usually, I drink juice in wine glasses, just to be “fun”, so this is great!
Brandy,
Go with the FUN part all the way.
And I love the fact that you are a juice drinker out of the wine glass!
Feeling elegant and sophisticated from the early morning on!

Kathy,
I’ll let you into a secret: I made a few different glitter wine glasses and put them aside. I keep them handy for some fun events and even birthday gifts. I just put some fun gift inside the wine glass and put a fun packaging around it.
