Your child is the world to you. She is your joy. She is your salt. Lot’s of things happen to a sacred relationship between a child and a parent during a lifelong interaction of their souls.
Any parent wishes all the best upon her children. We wish them health to achieve all the rest of successes they are bound for in their lives.
Children are our sanity and mirror. Through them we celebrate our human life on this planet. They inspire us. And they push us to the limits in our creative mind and ocean-deep soul.
Celebrating a child without eyesight and hearing in the ways that this child thrives is something that only those who are on their Hero Quest path can do.
Terril Vanderkallen is one of those women and mothers who inspires me with her love and creative success in her live.

To give her baby-boy the future that is meaningful and enrich his life with participation within every day, Terril and her mom came up with the business idea that motivates and reaches out for the best in a human being. Fashionable braille leather jewelry for children and grown-ups is equally wearable & memorable.
At the end, it’s Terril’s new business that made her feel more fulfilled as she was connecting her story, her baby’s story with the life outside their family circle. People’s love just keeps flowing through. And at the end, it’s a small Dot of love, care and hope on a beautiful leather bracelet that counts.
Here’s Terril’s own story in her own words.

Hello, my name is Terril Vanderkallen. I am a wife and a mother of 2 boys, Jaxin who is 5 and Kingston who is 3.
I have a bachelors degree in Sociology and did have a career of running homes for mentally ill adults.
My son, Kingston was born October 19, 2008. Kingston was born at 36 weeks and weighed 5lbs 2oz. He was also born with cleft lip/nose/palate, deaf and blind. This was a shock to our family and to myself, because we were just prepared for the cleft not the other disabilities.

After 18 months of failure to thrive, multiple surgeries and hospital stays I was let go from my career. That was a definite low in my life, because work was the only place I had to go to get away from the craziness and stress at home, now I felt that I had nothing…nowhere to escape….nowhere to talk and interact with adults.
What was I going to do?
After many sleepless nights, my mom and I finally came up with an idea where I could work and we could start something in honor of Kingston.
Thoughts With Dots was invented. We felt like since we had to learn braille that we should make it a fashion statement.
Thoughts With Dots offers custom hand-painted leather braille jewelry. We feel like this is the new fashion trend which allows people to wear a bracelet with their own personal message on it.
Thoughts With Dots was inspired by the most amazing person I have ever met, and I feel blessed and lucky that Kingston was sent to me and my family. He has changed me as a mother and as a person, and he touches every life that he comes into contact with.

I dont really know how it feels to have a child of my own. But i am always amazed with how moms love their children. All the sacrifices and hardships that they go through just to make sure that their kids are living a good life… I salute all moms in the world… i salute you.. and i salute my mom, most of all!
