… And then moved on to bunnies and all things imagination.
Little Goodall was created by artist and designer Molly Goodall, who holds a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design and has a background in children’s wear, toy design, and fine art. She combined these three talents to solve a problem which launched her company.
In the Fall of 2010, Goodall was a new mother frustrated with the lack of clothing options for her toddler son. A firm believer that children should spend as much time as possible outdoors, she sought a way to keep him warm and also encourage imaginative play. As a creative solution, Molly designed and made a felt lion coat to inspire him to put his hood up in the cold. Her son loved it – he wanted to be a roaring lion all the time! Friends commented, orders were placed, and the Little Goodall Brand was born.
Inspiration Is A Powerful Tool
What began as a dining-room table based business quickly grew, and Molly now works closely with a variety of skilled local craftspeople to produce the line in North Texas. We are proud to sell our exceptional garments throughout the US, as well as exporting them to over 38 countries around the world.
Molly is the author of the creative sewing book “Wild Things to Sew and Wear”. Published by St. Martin’s Press in the fall of 2014, the book is also available as foreign language editions published for the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Denmark.
Little Goodall is owned and operated by Molly and her husband Wayne. They live in McKinney, Texas with their now eight-year-old son, two bunnies, and a dog named Sunshine.

That bunny coat is too cute! It was great to hear about her inspiration, I always love to learn about where people started in their career.
Haha. That baby pic is so cute with her dress on. My mom used to sew clothes for me when I was a baby. She’s good in sewing. Not like me lol.
That bunny jacket is so cute. I love it for my 3-yr old daughter. I remember my mom sew few clothes for me when I was a baby. I wish I had that talent like my mom have in being a seamstress.
Looking at the products of Little Goodall, I’m sure that Molly Goodall is such a creative and talented designer.
What an inspirational story of drive and determination. Shows what hard work and never giving up can do for you.
I really enjoy finding out the ‘who is behind’ the brand. It is great to find out about their inspiration, and how they became who they are now. Sewing is one thing I never quite grasped and I even took home-ec. So I am always intrigued by people that do it and are good at it.
I really love that child’s bunny jacket and I would totally sew one if I had a child! I wish I had the skill set to become a designer, but I can only picture things in my head and they don’t translate well on paper, lol.
Good thing that little Goodall got its wings because there are some really cute designs in here. I think it is great with passion meets potential and you are able to do meaningful things like this. This designs are great. MY favorite is the bunny jacket. So cute.
It’s so cool to learn about where designers get their inspiration! She’s got some cute things and I think my niece would love that book!
That gray bunny jacket is so adorable. Really cute hats for younger children. You are very talented. Wish I had learned to be a seamstress and not just sew.
