Three Fun Brio Toys to Stimulate Your Toddler’s Development
Everything you and your baby do, from walking and jumping on the playground to having a snack and reading a book help to jumpstart your precious baby’s brain. Limiting TV and electronic games in early days is crucial for a child to develop her or his imagination. The TV has already ready for consumption images and thus limits a child’s brain to work on her own. Free play and tactile games and toys contribute to and spark your baby’s imagination that forms a critical foundation to this child’s success learning and social skills.
BRIO toys offer free play and ignite imagination that is unique and precious. Here’s a quick spotlight of the BRIO wood toys that any child would be thankful to have in their toy box!

As your baby turns into a toddler, it is important to provide them with a variety of toys that will not only keep them occupied but also help stimulate their development. Brio Toys are designed to help children reach developmental milestones through play. Brio has a wide variety of unique toys that provide diverse experiences into a child’s daily development through imaginative play.
Brio toys are not only developed to help children grow and develop but they are created to be durable and hold up to repeated use for years. Brio has been using wood in their toys for over 100 years and the majority of their toys are still made this way. They are many varieties of plastics but the frequently used is thermoplastics. Both of these products are resistant to repeated use and impact, which means that your children will outgrow their toys before their toys wear out.
Each of the three toys I received are perfect for a developing toddler and will provide hours of fun. You will even find that the older kids will want to get in on the fun as well. Brio toys are perfect for kids of all ages. Check out these three fun toys and make your shopping list for your toddler.
Light & Sound Firetruck – This wooden firetruck comes with two firemen, a working siren, removable ladders that connect, and a hose that can be reeled in and pulled out. Your toddler will work on their fine motor skills while winding the hose, putting the firemen in their seats, and assembling the ladders. They will also work on navigational skills as they drive their firetruck around looking for fires to put out. Shop for it HERE.
Large Dachshund – This family favorite helps your toddler’s balance and coordination as they pull this little doggie along on their walks. With a head that moves back and forth and a tail that bounces, he will delight children of all ages. The best part is no dog food or clean-up is required. Shop for similar Brio pull toys HERE and HERE.
My First Take Along Set (Railway) – Brio understand that toddlers need to be occupied on the go and this take along railway set stores neatly away for travel. It can be opened up in the car or when you reach your destination. It includes two wooden tracks, 2 train cars, and 2 plastic ramps which attach to the train track on the carrying case. This is another toy that is great for fine motor skills as they navigate the train around the tracks. Shop for BRIO Train World HERE.

We LOVE Brio in our house, and we have quite a lot of trains and tracks. I don’t think you can beat wooden toys like these 🙂
I’ve never heard of this brand before, but I love the look of the wooden toys! My sister is pregnant and I think these would be great gifts for her kids!
What great toys for little tots… My kids are out of that stage in life, but if they were younger I’d definitely purchase those developmental toys : )
The trains are a classic. Our boys are 3, 4 and 5 now and still love playing with trains. Sometimes they fly now and they crash a lot, so the durability matters a lot.
I love toys with a purpose! I am also a big fan of toys that stimulate and teach!
These toys look perfect! I have an almost three year old, and I think she will benefit from playing and imagining with these colorful toys. They look like they are well made, and are amazing for kids of her age!
My niece would love these BRIO Toys! She’s a new toddler and I bet her mom would buy these in a heartbeat–going to share this with her! Thanks!
I am not even sure they had these kinds of toys when my kids were little. The daschund is super cute. I think my son would have loved that one.
Those toys are so cute! My little nephew would surely have a blast playing with those. And he loves dogs so he’d love the Large Dachshund for sure!
These would be great for my 2 year old nephew who has developmental delays. Ill have to show my sister!
My son had a toy that was similar to the pull-along dachshund and he loved it. Dragged that thing around everywhere for a while.
I had not heard of the Brio toy line before. They look bright and well made for those young ones. You need a sturdy toy as they can get pretty enthusiastic when they play!
I love the design of the BRIO toys. My niece would love to play with these she is two!
I just love Brio toys. Not only are they beautiful, they are well made and can withstand my boys’ rough play. They make such great birthday gifts, too!
These look like bright and fun wooden toys. Knowing my daughter, I know she would have loved the train stuff. She still loves playing with it even at 10. She just enjoys working with the train cars for some reason.
These are cute toys. My nephew’s birthday is coming up, thanks for the idea.
I’m not a toddler, but I want to play with these toys. I love the old school simplicity of these toys. My daughter has just moved past the toddler phase but my niece is just getting started. I will share these.
These toys look like so much fun, I can’t believe how educational they are. It’s so important to train motor skills and coordination early on– these wonderful toys are a great way to do this. Thanks for sharing!
I have been looking for a birthday gift for my friends little one. I will have to pick one up to give her. Thanks for the great ideas.
My grandddaughter is turning one in two weeks and she would love hat dachshund toy. I might have to get it for her since she loves dogs!
These toys are gorgeous! They remind me of old school toys that we use to play with. High quality and wooden.
I LOVE these toys!! So simplistic to allow kids to use their imaginations! The Dachshund is adorable and reminds me of a toy I had 4 decades ago lol. I am always happy to play with a train set. Oh wait these are for kids … whoops.
Oh my gosh- my daughter would go crazy over all of these! I think her favorite would be the train set! Lately she’s been loving trains! I’m glad I found this post because her birthday is definitely coming up…
These look like great toys. My kids are all older now, but I have friends with little ones that would love these toys!
Toys like these are the perfect thing for toddlers. They need constant stimulation for their constantly learning and growing minds.
Those are great! I think the best toys are the ones that help the kids exercise their brains. They’re learning sponges, and they need smarty pants water!
These look so fun! My kids are too old for these now, but I wish we’d had more toys like this when they were little 🙂 I’ll have to pass this on to my sisters in-law who have much younger little ones!
