Didn’t you want one of those custom stuffed animals when growing up? I did, but the time wasn’t ripe to deliver to the kids of my childhood the variety of toys our own kids celebrate every day. There’s a myriad of toys for boys. Huge toy collections exist for girls as well. Toys for summer, winter and spring. STEM toys. Wow, the count and categories are infinite!
Do you save those drawing by your child when they look so unique and precious? Sometimes, I want to save them all. But at the rate they’re being produced, I select the most of the most unique and make a few notes in the back of the drawing what’s on it, what’s going on with the colors, different parts of the body or people… or may be aliens? Each drawing means something to each child. As a parent, I would like to put it to memory.

I have no idea what kind of critter my grandie would come up with. He’s made me pictures of everything from frogs and cats and dogs, to dragons and flying motorcycles. It’s always a surprise.
