Expressing emotions is not easy! Especially in a society where some think that boys should not show their emotions, cry and be vulnerable. What research has shown again and again, it is damaging when we suppress our feelings and emotions and bury them deep inside for the years to come.
And what comes later? Many do not go to the “forbidden fruit” of emotionality and feelings. They suffer alone inside and express their frustration through the behaviors that cannot be easily explained.
We all know that toys make a huge developmental mark on a child’s brain and form connections on a very personal level. Children role play, they pretend, they live out all impossible-in-life scenarios – ways and things that form a healthy and strong core in them.
If we take away toys and play from a child, we are bound for a tragic outcome that may be associated with limited vision, ill-formed or undeveloped psychological bond and difficulty to adjust in a society.
Toys and games are created to give our children a solid base to become visionaries and builders of their destiny.
Wonder Crew toys came out as a solution to one mom’s dream that boys should have an equal to girls’ opportunity to play with their super heroes.

Lauren Wider, Psychotherapist & A MOM to a Boy, Founder of WONDER CREW.
Wonder Crew was founded by Laurel Wider, a psychotherapist and mom, who was shocked when her son came home from preschool one day and announced that “boys aren’t supposed to cry.”
Frustrated by many of the messages boys were (and weren’t) receiving from the “blue aisle” and inspired by the way play influences child development, Laurel created Wonder Crew to encourage kids to be their full selves.
Wonder Crew has been brought into the world of play to break stereotypes and allow any child to feel and express her or his feelings freely and openly, and benefit from doing so. Sharing our emotional output with the social environment makes a child stronger and more confident in actions, and independent in thought.
These amazing toys are meant to address the developmental needs of the whole boy, build emotional intelligence and creativity. The amazing Wonder Crew has been designed in all races to appeal to any child of any culture.

The Wonder Crew: Superhero Marco, Superhero James, Superhero Erik, Superhero Will.

This is brilliant. I think society has always said dolls are for girls but they should make dolls for little boys. Why not…it doesnt have to be a feminine thing and what better way to make superheros for both genders and the kids can play together. Shouldnt be gender playing separation so much when it comes to toys boys and girls should play together.

So well-said!
My boys play with any kinds of toys and games that trigger their inspiration and imagination. Gender is not a barrier for such things!
I love this idea. Boys should be taught to be in touch with their emotions. Boys are raised to be tough, but to suppress their feelings will not be good for their emotional and mental development. This is a great toy really. I am getting my grandson his own.
These are really cute! I love the concept and philosophy behind them. I could give one to my nephew. Actually my older nephew when he was small got a doll from me because why not? Boys need them too.
I’ve heard about these toys and have been looking for them in stores. I want to get my son one.
I remember when my son was younger, he love these type of stuff. He never had this Wonder Crew though.
I love these superhero dolls. It’s so important to teach our boys that it’s ok to show their emotions and be sensitive. I am glad that these dolls inspire them not only play and be creative but also lets them know it’s ok to be sensitive.
I think it is about time that we stop stereotyping toys to be gender specific. These superhero dolls (with mask and cape) will help boys have more imaginative play! Every child needs a super hero in their life and these dolls would be nice toy that they can call their buddy.
I love this! My daughter at 2 loves pretend play. A world without toys would be a dull place. I am glad wonder crew was created!
I agree that we need to better express ourselves. I think it makes us stronger rather than just hide them.
These look like great toys for boys. My son would have loved these Wonder Crew dolls.
I think Wonder Crew is a great idea. I have always taught my Son it is important to express his feelings no matter what they are. Everyone is human and has the right to feel the way they do.
I saw one at Target and thought they were great! My son would have loved it when he was younger–my daughter even thought they were cute.
I haven’t heard of the Wonder Crew toys before. But love this for boys. I don’t know any kids with boys this age, But I’ll keep an eye out to share this with the parents. Thanks for sharing!
Aww how cool are they, I have to admit I’ve not heard of Wonder Crew toys before, and it has been ages since I went to Toys R Us but it sounds like they really do offer some great toys.
These are so cute! I love that they make WonderCrew dolls. I think every child needs a superhero doll.
It is so cool that they’ve got these wonder crew toys. They’re a great idea to help kids express emotions.
These are great! I’m glad they are making these for our boys! I will keep my eye out for them in the stores!
I’ve seen these at Toys r Us and they’re adorable. As a mom of boys I find there’s an absence of toys for our sons and so glad to see this mom creator create Wonder Crew.
