Without doubt, healthy cat coat tips incorporate more than just one thing.
Who is out there with a pet on a lap? My cats, and we have three Cornish Rex cats, love to socialize and nap nearby or right on our lap every single day. If you are not familiar with this cat breed, one of the the most amazing features is their coat. It feels like heaven: silky and soft and wavy.
In fact, to maintain these amazing cats and their coats in top shape, we offer food and snacks that contribute to the beauty and quality maintenance of these graceful animals. One of the favorite food choices in the past month has been Petcurean GO! cat food.
Check out many flavors and options of Petcurean Go Cat Food for your feline friend HERE.
Caring for my furry friends well-being is high priority in our family. Cat coat is an important component of a cat’s identity. We can easily underestimate the importance of this highly functional mechanism in a cat’s life. And if we let it slide, unhealthy cat coat will show up in no time.
Cat’s hair is animal’s protective mechanism from heat, cold and weather conditions like rain and snow
Cat’s hair helps a feline to manufacture vitamin D to keep up with the required amounts of it in the body
Cat’s hair serves as a sensory component to identify smells, location and determine whereabouts
Without well-functioning coat, any feline would be deprived of the most animalistic and necessary tools for her to live life as close to her ancestors as possible.
Keeping Your Cat’s Skin and Coat Healthy
Cat’s Nutrition
You are what you eat. Same stays true to your pet!
One of the first healthy cat coat tips is to give your feline a balanced meal every day. So, here’s what to feed cat for shiny coat.
As a result of food tactics, one of the first signs of the unhealthy look of cat’s coat is its nutrition! My veterinarian recommends a well-balanced food and snacks that contribute a balanced amount of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
In addition, your cat can be easily deprived of the necessary vitamins and minerals that are incorporated with many quality food options. If your cat gets poor quality diet – the results will follow in no time.
In our family, we like to alternate cat food in our household and match it to our furry friends’ seasonal and individual needs.
FACT: Food could be your first thing to look at when otherwise your cat seems to be fine with.
Senior Cats
Senior cats, if they suffer from arthritis and some nutrient deficiencies – all the results of natural aging – can be a culprit of a dull cat’s coat. Obviously, you need to consult your veterinarian to map a course of action that is the best for your pet. But your vet may recommend special nutrition and foods for your furry friend.
Petcurean GO! SENSITIVITY + SHINE™ recipes were formulated specifically to address different pet’s needs and food sensitivities. My Cornish Rex fell in love with Petcurean food in no time!
FACT: All ingredients for Petcurean pet foods are selected through the trusted network of farmers and producers and go through a strict quality control.
Bathing Too Much for A Healthy Cat Coat
Cats have been designed by Mother Nature to clean their coat on the daily basis, many times a day. If we start bathing our cats too often, the battered-looking coat could be the first sign of telling us to stop it. Frequent bathing may deprive your pet of oils and emollients that are naturally secreted by the skin.
FACT: Bathing is not a good control mechanism for cat’s dander or flees. Hence one of the healthy cat coat tips is to maintain a beautiful balance between your pet’s bathing and self-cleaning.
Our cats are equal family members who call for attention and love and care. Undoubtedly, a healthy cat coat is a sign of its well-being and health. Keep in mind the above points about food source, cat’s age and bathing frequency of your furry friend – all are part of the well-balanced equation of your pet’s coat looks and luster. Usually, with the right foods and snacks, your cat will thrive and show it off with an amazing quality of its coat.

What stores is this available at?
Katrina,
This food is mostly sold through different small chains and private stores. But I found a ton around me!

I think we have bathed our cat maybe once a year only because she was caked in mud.
I have to say I have never seen a cat like yours. Very interesting coat.
well i dont have no cats
I have a long haired fluffy almost 10 year old cat. This sounds like a plus for her.
Wow about the bathing cat thing that is interesting. I guess its true cats bath themselve by licking themselves.
I think that it’s great that pet food companies are acknowledging that there is a population that requires a special diet.
Omega-3 is definitely what my cat needs and would love for it added to her food vice a supplement which she is picky about .
I love this cat food! It actually has Omega-3 which is very important in pet foods.
I had no idea the roles a cat’s hair played in its well-being. Thanks for helping me learn my “something new every day”!
Even If I wanted to try it, there’s no way my kitty would let me give her a bath. Better to let her do it.
Human members of our families need to eat healthy food. Our pets need healthy food too.
I didn’t realize you had to bathe a cat. They seem so self-sufficient. If I sound like I don’t own a cat, it’s because I don’t own a cat…so I find this fascinating.
I’d like to try this with my senior kitty!
You mention bathing the cat in your post… as in the human bathing their cat? That is highly unnecessary. Even my mom’s 90% out door cat (he only comes in to eat and sleep, gets enough attention from the neighborhood haha) and he has never been bathed, he’s never had fleas, parasites, etc. We have no idea how! Oh and he is an all white cat and keeps himself so unbelievably clean! Anyhow, I wonder if my indoor, super picky mama cat would eat this. Sounds like a good source of nutrients.
Sarh s,
Yes, I did mean bathing like bathing in water! I bathe my cats about once every 6 months. I do have special pet clothes to “dry bathe” them, as one of them produces a lot of oil, and it collects on its skin and coat. He really needs it.
As far as this food – every single cat in my house devoured it without any adaptation or transitional period!
It is very unusual for these picky eaters.
For me, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend this brand to anybody.
I have friends with dogs who feed their pups exclusively with Pecurean dog food.
Keep taking care of your white angel kitty! Thanks you for sharing your life’s experience with him or her!
I’ve never seen a cat like this before! They’re so unusual!
These products as well as the tips are amazing! My pet would love these for sure.
My friend loves to taking care of a cat. I will recommend this Petcureans to her. I wish I had cats too!!
Awe this is awesome I am all about keeping your animals happy and healthy! So cool!
I like that each bag is customized to what your pet needs.
Multi-cat home here! We would love to try Petcurean!
I definitely could use this post for my cat! He doesn’t like to be bathed but switching his cat food may do the trick!
My best friend keeps taking in cats so now she has 8 at home and they need to be fed! It’s expensive to feed so many, so this giveaway could help out. 😀
Not bathing cats frequently is true! My grandmother used to give my sister’s cat a bath at least twice a week which resulted to bald patches. 🙁
I love reading articles about how they admire their cats! I salute you for being so loving to your pets! They deserve to be yours!
It’s really good to find food that helps take care of your cat’s coat and overall health. This brand sounds amazing and you have the cutest kitty!
I admire your compassion and love for your cats. They are in good hands with you.
I didnt even know cats liked baths! Thanks for all the tips!
I have to try this. I just added a cat to my family. A husband, three daughters, a dog and now a cat.
