A Wrinkle In Time Movie by Disney

This amazing Disney movie opened in theaters March 9, 2018. I think the issues discussed in the movie will be relevant for quite some time. There will be several generations of kids watching it and reflecting on their childhood and their time at school.

Meg Murry is a typical middle school student struggling with issues of self-worth who just wants to fit in. Complicating matters is the mysterious disappearance of Mr. Murry, which has left Meg devastated and her mother broken-hearted.

Charles Wallace introduces Meg and her fellow classmate Calvin to three celestial beings (Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who) who have journeyed to Earth to help search for their father, and together they embark on their formidable quest.

Travelling via a wrinkling of time and space known as tessering, they are transported to worlds beyond their imagination where they must confront a powerful evil force. T

o make it back home to Earth, Meg must face the darkness within herself in order to harness the strength necessary to defeat the darkness rapidly enveloping the Universe.

“One of the things I love most about Meg is that she doesn’t care what other people think of her,” says Reid. “She gets bullied at school and there are all these rumors going around that her dad is missing, but she goes on this beautiful journey where she learns to love herself and to stand up and fight for her family.”
