You probably have had this questions like I do about Why the Grinch Stole Christmas. I have been curious in the depth of Grinch’s mean spirited actions. He seems to be always irritated and even angry, hence his not-so-nice actions towards others. But at the end of the trip, the Grinch is the ONE who is left empty-hearted. But wait a little.
You will adore this new THE GRINCH blu-ray DVD with three mini movies inside! Hearing the voices of Benedict Cumbertach, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Cameron Seely, the amazing Angela Lansbury and Pharrell Williams is something that doesn’t happen in one sitting!
Based on the beloved book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss, this comedic movie collection is unforgettable once it’s been watched! It does belong in your home movie library.
Fun Historic Facts About the Grinch
How Old is the Grinch? – In the story the Grinch complains that he has to put up with the Who’s celebration of Christmas for 53 years! No matter how old the story will be, the Grinch, our buddy, will forever stay 53-years young.
If you have never read the Dr. Seuss’ book, you gotta get it! There are some amazing details and descriptions that only are reliably told by Dr. Seuss himself!
Is Grinch Human? – NOPE! He’s never been human! He belongs to the WHO species. However, the Grinch is a different subspecies, hence his green color. There are more Who’s like Grinch; they just live far, far away from Whoville.
Grinch’s Green color was inspired by a rental car! – As you may see in the original book, the Grinch was black-and-white, with some hints of red. Chuck Jones, the illustrator, rented once a car that was an ugly green color. He was inspired to adapt this color to his character the Grinch.
Chuck Jones, who was Dr. Seuss’ fella-illustrator during World War II army experience, owned the rights to the Grinch character. Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel trusted his military buddy with the vision of Grinch and how the rights for his character’s reproduction will be observed.
Dr. Seuss wrote lyrics to the Grinch initial cartoon – Theodore Geisel is the one who wrote unforgettable lyrics to the “HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS.” Nobody was capable of creating a song that was bursting with the tongue-twisting phrases and words. Dr. Seuss’ song lyrics were so believable that the audience requested the translation of them! People flooded the network with letters asking where they could find the a word-in-word translation of the song. There was NO translation. It was a genius of Theodore Geisel “Dr. Seuss” that made something believable and real and so sticky to memory.
