This piece was inspired by my reading 50 Shades Of Grey, by British author E.L. James.
You do not know, neither can you tell when your Other is near your core. It is not a time for words or explorations of your Other’s feelings. Rather, by allowing them to connect to your core, the nearer they get the more you are moved by the engrossing intoxication of their love.
In this space of heavy inebriation, when souls are touching and merger is imminent, it is difficult to see clearly the arousal of your Other. Gradually at first, then like an irrepressible tornado it rushes in – and when you touch core to core you will know – not their arousal – but you will experience their soul.
You will absorb of their love. And all those they love, you will feel, see, and love them too. With eyes closed you will see the light of the vast expanse of their love. You will find your place in it. You will discover the fulness of universal, unconditional love.
Then you will know that the beauty of this Other has combined at your core. It is this that is the true gift of love. Of merger. If you have not yet experienced it, then begin again until you do. Start over and learn to surrender to the sensual intimacy of love. It may begin and end with the joy of your bodies, but the experience is entirely one of soul.
Lead off with the projection of your soul-love, ignore all the distractions, discomforts, and old preferences. Allow your soul to be penetrated without fear or reservation. Allow the smallest of pleasures to enthrall you, the simplest of touches to lift you skyward. Do this at the beginning and all through the experience.
Soon you will find you are not alone inside. And never will be again.
It’s a very quick and easy read. Yet what really kept me inside the book was the psychological drama, ever changing and morphing into a higher level of soul and bodily experience.
Obviously, one of the main characters, Grey, is a deeply traumatized figure, whose desire to find peace and balance within lead him to some quite extraordinary expression of himself.
I am just finishing the Book 1 of the Trilogy, but I was touched by the drama of the two people who are seeking the merger in soul through the brutal force of physical expression. Still, they are trying hard to find each other, to merge, to acquire what would bring a deep level of satisfaction in life.

I’ve heard mixed reviews of this book. It seems so interesting, though! Thanks for your review 🙂
