The Little Mermaid Live was a 2-hour broadcast featuring some of our favorite artists. If you haven’t seen a splendid celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Little Mermaid, take a quick tour of some of the spectacular images from the live show.
This special tribute to the original animated classic and its timeless music takes viewers on a magical adventure under the sea as live musical performances by a star-studded cast are interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film.
You already know the voice of Auli’i Cravalho who was behind the Moana character. She has lended her creative genius to the Little Mermaid, Ariel.
You can listen to Moana’s song performed by Auli’i Cravalho, too.
Do you remember a moment when all Disney princesses were reunited in one place, at one time, all at once? Well, it was in Ralph Breaks the Internet!
The Cast in The Little Mermaid Live! Show
This production stars some of my favorites. Take a look!
- Auli’i Cravalho as Ariel
- Queen Latifah as Ursula
- John Stamos as Chef Louis
- Shaggy as Sebastian
- Graham Phillips as Prince Eric, and
- Amber Riley in a newly created role, The Emcee
The Original Voice of The Little Mermaid Jodi Benson
Jodi Benson, the golden voice of Ariel in the first installment of Disney’s The Little Mermaid was at the Premiere of the LIVE show. But before the show, Jodi has been through the rehearsal to meet and greet the performers.

The show was spectacular! I am sure ABC will show it again and will put it into archives for people to revisit this unique classic remake.
Here are some of the photos from the show and dress rehearsal.

We watched it as a family. John Stamos should be thrilled. My kids were convinced that he was going to play Prince Eric.

We watched it last night, and it was so good! I loved the way they bounced back and forth from the stage to the cartoon.
