Disney The Lion King Welcomes Back Iconic Characters

Are you ready to welcome back The Lion King iconic character to the big screen? Directed by one of my favorite directors of this time Jon Favreau, you are up against some serious adventures with a totally a new twist.

I had a chance to meet and speak with Jon Favreau several times. The last time was at the World premiere of The Jungle Book and during the interview with him.

In addition, you will enjoy some of the pioneering filmmaking techniques of this time. Jon Favreau has taken yet another opportunity to tell an old story with a new set of tools and technology. Simply awesome! Magical.

As you may remember that not the entire African savanna celebrated the birth of a future Lion King, Simba. Scar, Mufasa’s brother and Simba’s uncle, plans his dangerous path to the throne.

The battle for Pride rock will be paved with betrayal, tragedy and drama like never before. Simba will be exiles. The Pride Rock with have the usurper of power as the King of Africa.

Meanwhile, there will be lessons to learn and friendships formed far and away from the Pride Rock. Simba has to find his own way and navigate his destiny. But this time, he doesn’t have to do it alone.

Pumbaa (Seth Rogen), Timon (Billy Eichner), and Zazu (John Oliver) will be true and playful companions by Simba’s side.

Knowing the virtuosity of Jon Favreau and his talent and lessons gained from his first genius and technology-driven movie, The Jungle Book, we are sure for a beautiful visual treat.

Fun fact about Shenzi the Hyena. Her full name according to Timon is Shenzi Marie Predatora Veldetta Jacquelina Hyena. Can you pronounce it quickly? Her first name means “savage” in Swahili.
