This day and age, for many a car remains a necessity. That is why we buy our cars with some predetermined considerations to satisfy our needs.
As more and more Americans use their cars not only to drive themselves to work, but also as a part of their vacation strategy, a car buyer does need to keep that in mind.
Out of curiosity, I have polled my neighbors (10 of them) with only two questions to answer.
Question 1
When buying a new car, did you keep in mind that you’d be using it for vacation trips, thus, trying to find the car with certain specifications to satisfy that variable as well?
You want to know how many answered as a “Yes?” Only three. Three out of ten did include that variable when shopping for a new car.
Question 2
When using your car as a vacation vessel, have you ever wished your car had this or that feature non-existent in your current car?
Six people came back with a positive “Yes.”
That indicates that we obviously have a different algorithm to calculate our needs when it comes to buying a new car. And YES, we do need to take into consideration our lifestyle when making a significant purchase like a car.
You know which car is great for travel? Mazda 3 i Grand Touring with Skyactiv Technology.
I won’t hold your breath and will let you know what features impressed me the most.
Light Weight of the Vehicle
This Mazda 3 is amazingly light. The design team did it on purpose to increase the mileage for this vehicle and add to its sporty look.
Great Visibility via All Mirrors
In some cars, it’s absolutely crippling to get a good view of the side and approaching from the rear cars. We either need to twist our bodies like contortionists or take our eyes away from the main traffic again and again.
This Mazda 3 has a great visibility via its rear-view mirrors and side mirrors. It has blind spot monitoring system that is so helpful to every single driver.
Superb Mileage When Traveling
This baby Mazda 3 gets about 40 miles per gallon when traveling on highway, and around 30 miles per gallon when driving in the city. We took it for a superb week-end drive along Florida Keys. Here’s what we’ve got to see from inside the car.
These Are The Views Shot Directly From The Inside Our Mazda 3 Skyactiv Technology
And just imagine, what followed when our Mazda 3 delivered us to our final, tip of the magical world destination, Florida Keys. But this is for the next chapter. I’ll keep you posted.
This is a great car for students, singles or small families with one or two kids, who love to use their car for travel and/or have a job that requires to drive a lot.
Next time when you are shopping for a new car, keep in mind that a car is not just for the minimal bare necessities like driving us back and forth from work. The car is a member of your family that can and should deliver its invaluable contribution to your lifestyle.

I read this post fully on the topic of the resemblance of newest and earlier technologies, it’s
awesome article.
This is SO true!! We travel all the time and I wish my van had 2 things: windows that rolled down in the back and zoned air. The Mazda sounds just like something I would drive~ if I didn’t have so many kids!
I wish I had these tips when we got our last vehicle! A lot of these points I never thought of and really wish I had!
One of the things I always look for in a car is “how comfortable is the rear seat–now I am single and really there are not too many that sit back there–but just in case! I also need to make sure that the car is not close to the ground or too high up–my old legs-what can I tell ya! And of course gas milage is always a concern!
I love that it is a 4 door which get 40 mpg highway and 30 mpg in town. Wish I had owned the Mazda 3 when I was commuting 3 hours to work each day. This would of saved me a bundle in gas money. I will soon have to buy a new car. Mine has almost 250,000 (wow that is a quarter million) miles on it right now. I will keep in mind the Mazda 3 now.
