MAXIM To My Body Is Like Music To My Soul

The technology has improved our social and personal life so much in the past hundred of years. We are the “gobblers” of all technological innovations not only in the kitchen space and electronics, but also in our personal hygiene area as well.

What I am looking in the personal hygiene items is their sustainable and clean processing properties. The majority of such items are bleached to acquire the whiteness of the product for marketing purposes.

But what I would love to have is not necessarily bleached and “drawn out” of nature with brutal force. Natural non-white surfaces in my personal hygiene items are OK with me. Does the color matter any way?

Why the way our personal hygiene items are processed matters?

We do want to avoid irritation and achieve more breath-ability with better absorbency of our tampons and liners and pads. 

Besides, many more women are looking for the products that have quality sourcing and a positive environmental impact behind them. And yes, health effects on our bodies is one of the most crucial “why we are looking” for natural with exceptional quality and standards personal care products.

Besides these “minor” conveniences, there are all kinds of medical conditions, like Vaginitis, Endo among many, that simply require a woman to use all-natural, chemical-free surfaces in her tampons and pads. Endometriosis is one of those situations when the body does so much better with pads and tampons, that are made of organic cotton that are free of any chemical touch.

FYI: The U. S. government doesn’t require health studies or pre-launch testing of products in the Personal Care Category.

So, how does an average consumer know that each brand labeled “natural” on its packaging and was allowed to sell their products to the mass consumer is truly NATURAL, i.e., does use ingredients and processes that maintain the quality of the product and environment?

The answer to this question is two-fold as a minimum.

First, research the brand on your own.

Second, trust the sources that sell “all-natural” brands from their shelves and the brands themselves.

Usually, it is a word-of-mouth that gets us to the quality products that we seek.

Having talked to several women about what the difference it makes to use natural brand of personal hygiene items vs. conventional, here what I got from them. Please keep in mind that we are talking about Personal Hygiene Products like pads, tampons, facial cotton balls and much more of this kinds of products.
