The Wiggle Waggle Whiskers game is a 2 player game for you to play with your child age 4-years and older. It is an easy to play game right out of the box with no major assembly required. The goal of the game is to build fences in boxes for your pieces (either puppies or kitties) using reasoning skills. L-shaped, corner and other wiggly fences make this a challenging yet entertaining game to play with your child.
My son is a 5-year-old who has a short attention span and can get easily frustrated. Wiggle Waggle Whiskers is a great game to play with him to not only encourage thinking ahead but patience.
I will admit it was a bit of a learning curve for a hyper 5-year-old as strategy was new concept to him. He was extremely eager to play and instantly picked out the blue puppies as his game pieces.
The first few times we played I really guided him along in pointing out the ways he could use the different shaped pieces to complete a box or a fence. The look of excitement on his face at the end of the game, when he counted his pieces and realized he’d won, was awesome. Overtime, he was able to plan out his moves on his own.
If your child is ready to begin playing more advanced yet still relatively simple games, then Wiggle Waggle Whiskers is a good place to start. It really makes them think of game play in a new, more thought-invoking way. Seeing them pick up different pieces and think out ways to play them on the board just shows how the little wheels in their brains are turning.

This game is also a great way of teaching you win some, you loose some. The fact you are able to essentially finish someone’s box and claim it as your own can be difficult for young minds to understand. But in turn, it gives us, parents, an opportune time to encourage insight and composure.
3 Top HOW-TOs to Your Child’s
Strategy Building Skills
Building stronger Parent-Child relationship
Strengthening your relationship with your child can be easier than you think. Sometimes all your child wants is YOUR Time spent with them, sharing what they love doing. Be it a game, a book, a toy, an activity they are thrilled to tell you about, a story they’re imagining in their mind and roleplaying within – anything can become a fruitful soil for your stronger connection with the one you love and care about. These little things done and shared frequently in lieue of your time and positive reinforcement are what builds those desired and paid-off in the future strong Parent-Child relationships.
Playing Wiggle Waggle Whiskers is just one small way to celebrate your few minutes with your child enjoying this game together.
Practicing executive function skills
It sounds unfamiliar, but the concept is very fundamental and so doable by any parent who is eager to teach their child some vital skills used at school and in life.
These vital skills include a child’s ability to retain and work with information, focus her/his attention, filter distractions, and switch mental gears.
The games Wiggle Waggle Whiskers are some of the best examples that combine the practicing of all these skills during one game.
Building resilience in spite of difficulties
Like anything else, a child needs to be challenged, if we would like to see her or him growing up with a solid foundation to handle difficult situations and not give in to emotional frustration and inability to find a solution.
During a Wiggle Waggle Whiskers game, there are plenty of times when a child needs to think through the steps and choices while facing the result of them. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they get a “miss” that could be emotionally strong. Having a trustworthy parent by the side, a child can be guided through any difficult situation to find a solution and try again at it. This i game offers many trials for a child to succeed.
I would recommend this game for all young children. It is great to have it in your own game closet and to give as a gift.Wiggle Waggle Whiskers gets an extra nod from me because it was something this mommy actually enjoyed playing along with.
