The next morning, Sunday, the fervor of adventure hadn’t slacked, so we charted a course West, and just drove into the Everglades — quiet, content, peaceful, panoramic windows, gliding along like a crane just before it lands on the smooth surface of the water. Effortless. Luxury. Adventure. We needed that. We really did.
You see, I can tell you all the details of the car, the mileage and features and all that stuff that car company’s and car nuts want to talk about. And I’ll do that below, but what we experienced was a KIA. It was a surprise. It was luxury. It challenged us to go out and drive, and do what we keep saying we wanted to do, but never quite got around to doing. It sat there in the driveway, and said “Let’s go.” And we did.
As we pulled back into the driveway early on that Sunday evening (Kai had pre-school the next day and he needed to get a long rest), we got out to unpack. My neighbor came over, having just parked her Lexus. “What kind of car is that?” she inquired with a quiz on her face. “Is that one of those new BMW’s? The smaller Infiniti, they said they were coming out with. Love those sexy wheels. I love it, ” she said as she slipped behind the wheel uninvited, and ran her fingertips over the leather, and the electronic glass dashboard.
KIA is my new, surprising luxury car. Without the luxury price. Nothing has been held back. Every modern luxury and electronic gizmo is there waiting for you. You can catch the details below, but, the most important thing I can say about our weekend was the KIA challenged us to an Adventure. And delivered us more fun than we had had in a long time. Thank you, KIA. Thank you cute guy that delivered it. And thank you dear readers for there being enough of you that KIA decided I should have the privilege of writing about it.
By the way, I never did remember what I forgot to write about Ronald MacDonald. And why that buzzer was set is beyond me. Who cares. But, I’ll always remember the fun weekend adventure we had in my KIA. And how it challenged me to get out of the house and drive to places I never got around to doing these last months.
Maybe you should try it too. Where would You go on your KIA Adventure?
