I love good Broadway! I get every chance to go and see a musical locally and when I travel to the center of the musical universe New York. Guess what, Disney has created something really exciting with its release of the NEWSIES: The Broadway Musical. 

Yes, you should be expecting a great story behind a two-hour show! A story about a newsboy Jack Kelly who leads his street tribe of “newsies” with his dream for a better, fuller life that here on the streets. We will see music and dance and interaction among the characters. The story deepens when the pay to the “newsies” is cut by the distribution prices of the magazines these boys take to and sell in the streets. The strike is imminent. The leader is a given.

Music we all will enjoy is by an amazing Alan Menken, who won a Tony Award for Newsies. The lyrics and choreography have won their Tonies as well, with Jack Feldman and Christopher Gattelli respectively.
