This film presents so many insights into the life of a grown-up individual that there’s no denying the fact that we all fall victim to modern progress: overworked, apart from family and friends, and putting off things that are truly important in life as if we could get to them later.

With Christopher Robin all grown up and working corporate England, Director Marc Forster takes us on a super emotional journey into one man’s life. Like everybody else around him, he is providing for the family. His career took over not only his time at his job, but all his time, keeping him away from the family and things that he used to love to do. Growing apart from his wife Evelyn Robin (Hayley Atwell), daughter Madeline (Bronte Carmichael), Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) finds himself lost in the world as he lives it.

And there wouldn’t be Christopher Robin without POOH and his friends. Only this time, Winnie the Pooh makes an audacious attempt to cross into a human world and reach out to Christopher Robin from the long gone childhood. To use POOH’s language and his eloquent Pooh quote:

“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” – POOH

The movie has been very emotional for me. Not once or twice, in its entirety. The truths spoken in simple POOH quotes and acted out with determined kindness would melt any frozen fortresses and pull anybody into the better state of things. Take your entire family to see this magical and transformative movie with the characters from your childhood. Allow yourself to feel again and open up to accept others in your life. The Red Carpet for the CHRISTOPHER ROBIN World Premiere took place on a unique Disney Studios lot where the guests and film creators gathered to celebrate the beloved Winnie the Pooh legacy. During my interview with Ewan McGregor, we learned about how the movie was filmed, about the intricacies of green screen acting, and what Winnie the Pooh and other plush toy characters looked like during the filming process. The stories are hilarious and show the talent you need to be to act in front of “nothing.” Though, as POOH may say “nothing could lead to something.”

During the CHRISTOPHER ROBIN World Premiere July 30, 2018, we had an amazing opportunity to take pictures, try out many new film technologies and eat movie-themed foods. This RED BOOTH prop was my clear favorite of all! I just love its look and cool it might have been for Ewan McGregor to hold a conversation with POOH in the booth. The scene is hilarious!

It is a uniquely directed drama of everyday life to affect our complex feelings and emotions.
