This Disney Classic has been celebrated with gusto this year! August 29, 2017, will mark a legendary mark to include one more Disney animation several generations have grown on – THE LION KING.
What Walt Disney himself always preached was that story is what makes it or breaks it. Every character in Disney’s movie has a backstory, a flavor and characteristics it is known to us. That is how we connect to each character, thus remembering it forever.

I can’t remember how many times I watched The Lion King when I was growing up! Now my son loves it even more than I did, well he loves the new spin off of it, The Lion Guard on Disney. Everything we own has to do with The Lion King, such a classic and great movie! Thanks for sharing!
I just saw the blu ray release of this last night at the store. It brought back memories of watching it at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood when I was younger. I was definitely curious about the added materials they had with it. It is a very cool release.
David,
I am with you on the subject that the Bonus materials are something special to dive into.
I get all these blu-rays now just to learn more about the feature and the people who made them possible.
We were so excited to see the Lion King was available. We could not wait to get ourselves a copy!
Love the idea of this movie area in the garden! Lot of fun for kids! The Lion King is Such a classic beautiful movie!
I love Lion King movie! How I wish there will be a new adaptation of these, and not so many CGI please.
I find this movie very romantic! Legendary 🙂
This is seriously one of our favorite Disney movies. I love that you celebrated it with an outdoor screening. How fun!
The lion king has always been my favorite Disney movie! Such a classic!
The Lion King is still one of my all time favorite disney movies. I remember seeing it when it came out in the movie theater! I love that my kids watch The Lion Guard now and still watch Lion King with me!
I would love to get a projector. It would be so fin to have movie night in the back yard. The Lion King is one of our favorite movies.
I love The Lion King! I need to watch it again with my family. It’s such an amazing movie.
Lion King was one of my favorite movies growing up as a kid! Although when I use to watch it, it was on a big bulky VHS! I need to get this so I can have a movie night with my kids.
I love Lion King and I have seen the play on West End, London! It was pure magical and the way they include the audience is amazing! Might get the DVD too! I’m trying to start my own little collection!
Hands up I love The Lion King and I am totally with you on it being an amazing film to watch under the stars, all nestled up under a blanket.
Loved The Lion King and would be very happy to watch it again. Your idea to put the screen outside was awesome. I bet that was so much fun.
Can’t remember how many times I watched The lion king. This movie seemed to be my best friend when I was a child. If I have children one day, I will absolutely introduce this masterpiece to them.
I love that you put up your own outdoor movie screen! The Lion King was the movie we always watched at school for our “off” days or when things didn’t go as planned, and it was always the same first 45-60 minutes. I unfortunately can’t stand it any longer for that reason. Too much of a good thing and all….
The overdoing something that is good could be life-long.
That is why our school system is responsible for many little things they do with our children.
Today, though, they have so many more options!
GAH! I need to re-visit THE LION KING. I feel like the last time I ever saw it was when I was like 10 years old!! This must change!! When I have children, I will DEFINITELY introduce them to the oldies but goodies!
