There’s no gimmick or surprise today that vigorous physical exercise does make a huge difference in preventing different types of cancers.
Along with your personal commitment to yourself, in your mind, that would make you get up and hit that road. This is why, whether it’s a treadmill or a quick-paced walk around the block, or a fun game of soccer with your kids or peers – Any Vigorous Physical Exercise would bring positive results in your body.
However keep in mind that vigorous physical activity will have its effect on your body and lower risk of breast cancer when you do it regularly.
In addition to the connection of breast cancer and exercise, we are talking about the changes in blood sugar levels, insulin resistance, and the overweight syndrome. In fact, regular physical activity lowers internal inflammation which is the culprit for the great majority of illnesses, including cancer. Reduction in insulin resistance and inflammation, which have been linked to cancer development, has a beneficial effect on lowered risk of many cancers.
Look inside and be truthful to yourself before you will see more possibilities of living life at a fuller scale. The regular physical exercise can become part of that vision, too.

Physical Exercise and the Risk of Postmenopausal Breast Cancer
For instance, postmenopausal women who maintain a regular, moderate to vigorous exercise program reduce their risk of breast cancer, even if they did not exercise in the past. Breast cancer and obesity are both on the rise worldwide and, interestingly, the two diseases are connected. Regular exercise’s effect on cancer is the bloodstream.
Exercising is so important for the well functioning of the body. If the body is functioning well and the cells are working hard to fight “intruders”, then I can imagine how beneficial exercising is.
It is undeniable that regular exercise is very healthy on so many fronts! But as you said, it needs to be done moderately.
Chad,
For years, it’s been proven many times that just 15 minutes a day of walking can reduce internal inflammation. If everybody would do it!
This is true! Regular exercise also helps you stay at a healthy weight, which helps regulate hormones and helps the immune system.Being very active can reduce levels of insulin and help prevent cancer.

This is something that really works: Support from the community. We do better and achieve what we want in our lives when we know there’s that support right around the corner, close to us.
Thanks for the reminder to be healthy and to prevent cancer. I always remind my wife to take care of herself to avoid any future ailments like cancer.
Ryan,
We can do many things to lower our risks for internal inflammation. And it is known as the breeding grounds for cancers and many diseases.
This is very enlightening!! Thank you for raising awareness continuously! This is such a big help to understand breast cancer.
Toni,
And it is easy to take these steps. Just do a minute or two to begin with. Do as much as you can in the beginning, even for a few seconds.
I took a course and certification in forming good habits from Stanford University. One of the key moments to form a good habit is to do the MINIMUM every single time.
For example, if you want to become a regular runner, just putting on running shoes and not run is considered the 1st step. Just continue doing it, and everything that you will do beyond it will be your formation of a good habit.
Interestingly, there’s NO GOAL SETTING! EVER!
Wow, I didn’t know most of these things, I really appreciate all the great info. Thanks friend!
Krysten,
What’s interesting is that all of the above is easily achievable when we take action.
Vigorous exercise could be a power walk around the block or marching in front of your computer or doing jumping jacks.
We can raise our heart rate for a few precious moments to lower internal inflammation and save our lives.
Oh wow that is so incredible how much vigorous exercise helps to prevent cancer. It makes me want to amp up my workouts even more!
Kileen,
Just 15 minutes a day of vigorous exercise does a lot of good for lowering internal inflammation.
Keep doing your workouts or walks or whatever you like to do. Just keep doing it.
I exercise regularly but now I really want to get better about my eating habits. I need try my best to prevent heart disease as that runs in my family.
Monica,
It’s great that you have an urgency in you. This post will gently push you into doing it, will it?
Hugs, amazing person!
Such an important topic to discuss especially during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’ve been working out more, and if I don’t do my full workout, I at least get some physical activity in until I get into a routine of doing my daily workout regularly. I am slowly getting this to be a habit, so I am in week 2 …. I’m sure by Week 4 it will be more of a habit for better health!
Brandy,
The key is to do the minimum you can every single time. Be it 2 steps or a 1,000 steps, if you can do it without resistance to yourself, then it will become the base for a good habit forming.
