Women are a powerful force. They can change the world with their compassion, truth in front of any disaster and any challenge standing in their way.
Still the majority of the world treats a woman as a 3rd class citizen, with no opportunities, no help, nothing to lean against or look forward to. When an organized movements steps forward to help women throughout the world and stretch a strong hand in support, we Salute and Celebrate such an act of not only kindness, but courage as well. Courage to break through diversity and indifference. The Courage to bring a Change.

Think of how monetary, educational, and practical training offered to women in such dark places of the world could change the entire feel, dynamic, and, in the course of time, the entire culture of those forgotten areas, villages, cities, and even entire countries on earth.
Trickle Up is one of those organizations that does exactly THAT: Helping women by empowering them with training, seed capital and motivation in creative thinking that helps them to change their families, communities, our entire world.
Trickle Up has been chosen to compete in a global fundraising challenge called “#RaiseForWomen,” created in partnership with the HuffPost, Skoll Foundation, Half the Sky and CrowdRise. The money raised will go directly towards our female-focused programs.
The women who participate in Trickle Up’s program in Central America, India and West Africa are changing the world. Support like this campaign enables women living in ultra poverty to earn an income, have a voice in their homes and communities, have more and better food to eat, and build savings that make their families more financially secure. Specifically:
- 107% increase in people who reported that their families always have enough to eat
- 99% of participants reported having savings at the end of the program, up from 21% at the start
- 9 out of 10 women reported high participation in family decision-making
Trickle Up is competing against 100+ other nonprofits to raise the most money by June 6, and we want to get the word out to netizens and those dedicated to lifting women out of poverty!
