The Statue of Liberty is a sign of America’s freedom. Ravensburger, the maker of 3D puzzles, has designed a premium puzzle replica of Lady Liberty. What is a better way to teach anyone the story of the Statue than by being able to build one for your home?
I was sent The Statue of Liberty 3D Puzzle and thought to myself, ‘This will be a piece of cake.’ However, it was more difficult than I thought it would be. The Statue puzzle has 108 pieces, plus the Lady and a few other accessories. The only part of the statue that is a puzzle is the base that the Lady sits on.
This is very educational, whether you are in your childhood years, your college years or your adult years. For example: I know the story of how the French gave the United States Lady Liberty but, it has made me want to know more about our country’s sign of Freedom.
My kids even got in the fun of it. They helped me click the numbered pieces together in order to form the Statue’s base. Each puzzle piece is numbered on the back and clicks together. I figured out really fast that you have to put the plastic puzzle pieces together in sections. For example: I put them together in sets of 10. Once I had them all put together, I found out which pieces were the scored corner pieces and bent them.
I went on to construct the rest of the base, placing our symbol of Freedom atop her tower. She now holds a premium spot in our living room, showing our love for the United States and all who have protected her.
Inside the box of puzzle pieces, there is an information sheet, telling about the monument. It tells where she is located, when she was constructed, who she was engineered by and so much more. This is more than a puzzle. It’s a visual lesson in history. Statue of Liberty 3D Puzzle is an entertaining and educational game for the entire family!
