7 Simple Slimming Secrets To Lose Body Fat
Simple Slimming Secret #5: Eat One Large, Preferably Organic, Raw Salad Per Day
By Amy Fournier
Have at least one, HUGE mixed salad per day.
This is a great way to get all sorts of wonderful nutrition into your body, but with minimal calories. Plus the high water content of the veggies is a major dieting trick to help fill you up and control hunger, yet still keep your weight where you like it.
Include as much variety and color as you can in your salad. Alternate your choices of beautiful veggies each day and be brave and try something new! Just pile it all on there and enjoy.
One word of caution particularly at salad bars: be sure to limit the starchy carbs like the higher glycemic veggies such as potatoes/potato salad, sweet potatoes, dried fruit, squash, carrots and onions, as well as the croutons, items with dressings and marinades and things made with mayonnaise. These will sabotage your weight loss goals.
Also caution with the loose nuts which are healthy but also high calorie. Therefore be sure to limit nuts to just a small handful. Instead include more green, fibrous carbohydrates or seeds for added crunch.

Diet and exercise together is the way to go 🙂
physical activity.
Both
Physical Activity
physical activity is more important
Diet, I sruggle with binge eating disorder so unless that is kept under control I can exercise like crazy and still be unhealthy
exercise with my kids
I walk
Eating healthy does get boring-it’s a good idea to add color variety!
I think diet is essential and portion control is extremely important
I like to dance andeat a lot of low cal things
eat healthy and exercise
Both
Both are important, but if I have to choose one, diet.
I feel both diet and excessive
I drink plenty of water
Physical activity
I think they are both equally important!
I would say diet and food because your body needs fuel to perform
I think the most part of being active and keeping physical help to get going everyday and make me keep focused on being more healthy… I want to live a happy healthy life
Physical activity
I feel both diet and excersize are both important.
I believe nutrition is the most important followed by physical activity. You could be excercising all the time but if you are not eating the proper foods you will lose muscle and will not have the proper vitamins and minerals to help sustain body functions. Iron is important! You won’t get that from a bag of potato chips and working out won’t increase it.
Both are equally as important!!!
I’d say that diet/exercise is more important to me
I like to stay active & keep my kids active. What we eat is less important when we are already healthy!
both are important exercise is what gets me due to all the physical problems I have but I try not to just Lay in bed with the heating pad all the time.
Physical activity is important because it helps your mood and you can decide on what body part to sculpt.
Both are important, but I find diet helps me most in weight loss.
eating healthier drinking plenty of water and doing as much exercise as your body can handle
Physical activity because i’m at a good weight so i don’t need to diet and lose weight
Physical activity and moderation
both exercise and good diet
I go with the physical activity
Diet and exercise
Both are equally important but for me it’s easier to monitor Diet/Food
I think both are important but I need to have more control to make sure I keep up with exercising
For me what I eat-I managed to lose over 50 lbs without EXCERCISE but the Doc says I still need to do that for my cholestrol-LOL I eat ALOT of cereal to maintain my “healthy weight
I think you need both… a healthy diet AND some sort of exercise to reach your weight loss goals!
they go hand in hand
What I eat definitely makes a huge difference! On Oct 1st I switched to a mostly organic, nearly no red meat or pork. ( mostly chicken n fish)n no soda or anything with high frucouse corn syrup..I drink mostly water n green tea…and the pounds gave heen literally melting off! I’ve lost 30 pounds in just a little over 2 months… .
I DON’T diet, but I think physically exercise is so important.
Physical activites are more important to me. I can usually eat what I want if I am active.
Physical activity is crucial to weight loss!
physical activity
Avoiding too many carbs.
Diet/Food
exercise and diet
Both are very important to me. but I would have to choose physical activity.
Physical activity with a sensible diet
you have to have physical activity along with diet they go hand in hand
I have noticed what goes in my mouth and running.. hand in hand.. if they aren’t friends, its not going to work. so, eating right and running!
I think there has to be balance! Physical activity is important to me though because I just feel better if I’m active!
Physical activity!! It is a great stress reliever!
I think diet/food is more important! If you are eating junk all the time, no matter how much activity you engage in, you aren’t going to lose anything!
Physical activity is more important to me.
My nutrition has been the biggest factor for me in losing weight and feeling better. Menopause crept up and really tried to kick my rear. But my diet changes have made feel better than before!
Diet eating right physical activity is important to though.
Physical activity and lots of water!
Both are essential but if you can only do one due to time or lifestyle you should ALWAYS eat a healthy diet with lots of water, fresh fruits and veggies, lean protein and whole grains.
both are very important
eating right and exercise. But horrible eating with drugs/alcohol is the worst. Luckily I just really need exercise!
Both one does not work without the other for me
weight/health management. I think I am at a good weight but my activity and health is not maintained in balance. I just need some extra to regain my go energy.
Physical Activity
I think Physical exercise is more important because it makes you feel so much better, but eating right goes along with it too.
In my case they are equally important. I am a candidate for a colostomy bag this year and have to both watch my diet and exercise the latter of which I need to do more often.
God bless you and yours
I think physical activity makes you feel better about yourself and gives you more energy – less time to think about food and if you do you’ll make better decisions.
Being physically active is more important
I think physical activity AND the food you eat should be equal parts in weight loss and weight management. I WISH there was a way to only watch what I ate and lose the weight I wanted, but physical activity not only boosts your metabolism, but is heart healthy!
Diet. I have physical disabilities don’t don’t allow for a lot of exercise.
I know eating right is important, but staying active is so important for so many different things, not just weight loss
Using a tredmill, I eat yogurt and granola, Glutten free products cut the carbs, and drink lots of water.
Diet is most important to me. I have physical limitations, so I can’t do much physically.
Physical cause no matter what I eat, the jog at then end of the day helps reduce stress!
my choice is my diet
Physical Activity is important
Watching what I eat and drinking a lot of water, helps me.
I think physical activity and healthy eating go hand and hand
Both definitely play key roles in living healthy, they go hand in hand 🙂
diet and food makes the most difference in my life.
Both!
Physical Activity 🙂
Physical Activity for me- I see better, long lasting results with physical activity.
Physical activity
I have to go with physical activity
Mine is eating diet food and drinking I am injured so I can’t do the exercise
For me, physical activity is just as important, if not more as what my diet/ food choices are.
Physical activity.
i try to eat healthy but i know activity is most important
water, water, and more water
i am on an hcg low cal diet
Both are important. You can diet all you want, but if you aren’t being active in some form, it really won’t help a lot.
I would say both Physical Activity and Diet/Food are both very important
Physical activities n eating right
I like to say both but diet is more important to me
I think physical activity and portion control is more important than the food you eat when it comes to weight loss.
i think diet is. but they both have a HUGH part in it
While I would like to say both, I think diet is more important, as it affects my energy which in turn affects my activity!
I have to watch what I eat and I need to be active to actually lose weight.
Eating right on a daily basis
Physical activity, diet
EXERCISE, DRINK WATER, TAKE VITAMINS
Eating right and eating healthy plus physical activity is important. Thanks for posting
Exercise and diet are important!
i m suppose to do this all the time for diabetes
diet- WEIGHT maintenance- this is what make sure I do now that im older.
we do both here we are a wrestling family so we watch what we eat and exercise
I have to concentrate more on what I eat than physical activity due to a permanent injury, however I am working on getting my ability to exercise back.
eating right is major in our life
I am going through Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer, so right now I am not always able to do the physical activities I once loved. Instead, I am trying to watch what I eat. Portion control and healthy eating.
Healthy eating is so very important to me now especially since I have gotten older.
Both are important for me to lose weight. Plus, I feel better when I eat right and exercise.
Being a diabetic with arthritis, I feel they are both very important but maybe the diet more than the exercise but I make sure to move, use it or loose it!
Physical activity
It’s more important to me to stay active so I can still enjoy some of the junk I eat
Diet is important to me
Physical activity is an extremely important part of my daily routine. I think it’s important for all of us to get up and get moving. It’s not only good for weight loss, but an overall wellness.
I think that for me, physical activity is just as important as diet.
eating healthy.
I try to keep active and I try to watch what I eat. Not a diet.
You must incorporate both principles, it’s very important to eat healthy and watch the amount you intake, as well exercising regularly
Physical activity
Considering that the foods we eat–the Standard American Diet–is so awfully full of chemicals and things that are not really food, I think we have to start with what we eat.
I lack on excersise.
i have to have the physical one beacuse of the diabetis and heart problemms
The food. For sure.
I really think you need both exercise and a sensible diet to lose/maintain weight goals. I do believe exercise may play the biggest role for me. Knowing the more exercise I get, the more my body burns fat on it’s own makes me very pleased. Muscle will burn fat faster than dieting alone.
I do believe we have to be careful with our diets though, because working out isn’t going to make you lose weight if you follow it up with junk foods, soda, and dessert.
I think both are important, but I am in a wheelchair and my physical activity is limited, so I try to watch what I eat more
What i eat.
I try to eat right, but exercise is more productive for me. With 4 children and a busy schedule, I grab food on the go so exercise is what helps me the most!
Diet/what I eat is the most productive for me
Diet is most important to me
Both physical activity and a healthy diet are important. I think eating a healthy diet gives you more energy, making physical activity routine more obtainable.
Exercise is most helpful to me.
I think the two go hand in hand you have to eat right and exercise to lose weight. I think if you start eating right you will feel vetter and have more energy to exercise.
Physical Activity
I think physical activity with a good diet will help a lot to keep my weight or loose some pounds (which is what I need)
I love all, you are doing I love the chance to get to win something new
Awesome posting!
Definitely informative. It’s always good to be reminded of what “healthy” foods to moderate the most
Very nice post. I think sometimes we forget how some of the vegetables can be bad for us if we overdue it.
