My amazing summer has been spend traveling, meeting people, watching different cultures and partaking in the life that is quite different. I will be releasing my short posts with personal reflections and pictures, as I am putting in order a lot of things that got collected during the trip, mostly memories and pictures.
Here’s one of the Russian souvenirs I got as a gift. Isn’t it simply stunning?!
My most favorite style for a Russian souvenir is Gzhel, the porcelain hand-painted in white-and-blue creations.
The above teapot and teacups are performed in the style of Khokhloma. Khokhloma has been traditionally done with items made out of wood. Basically, this tea set should be made out of wood.
I was stunned to discover that this amazing Khokhloma style teapot and teacup set was porcelain. Unheard of! I guess each business, even with traditional techniques, has to move one and add some new twists to the cultural pride.
Absolutely stunning, this unique Khoklhoma on porcelain teapot set!
Bravo the Masters of the Khokloma!
I”ll be sharing more unique experiences and discoveries on my traveling route this past summer.
