Fortunately I’ve never had to return something I bought online – but I still see the value in Return Saver. I think I’d feel safer buying clothing online if I had a service like this.
I’ve thankfully never had to return anything I’ve bought offline but I’m always worried about buying clothes and them not fitting properly.
I have had to return shoes that didn’t fit!
I had to return a garbage disposal that I bought online from Home Depot. When I ordered it online it said they offered free installation and it was a good price so I bought it. When I received it and called to get installation they said no that they don’t install garbage disposals I had to find someone to do it at my cost. When I tried to find someone to install it I was told that particular model was garbage and no one would install it by 3 different companies. I called Home Depot back and told them this and that I wanted to return it. Suddenly they could not “find” the order to give me an RMA or any information that it had even been purchased! I had the original order information (order number, confirmation number, the 2 emails they sent me to confirm the order/shipping, and a copy of the delivery notice from the Home Depot delivery team as well as my credit card statement showing the charge) but they said no, it was not possible. I took it to my local Home Depot location with all the documentation and they said “we see what you have but we have no information in our computer system to verify the purchase” or that you purchased it from Home Depot despite the Home Depot stickers on the box along with their UPC sticker. It was unbelievable finally after well over an hour of this I made such a scene they decided they would go ahead and refund it but were doing so against their better judgement! Can you say NIGHTMARE LOL It was the last time I have or will ever shop with them again.

I just had to return a phone case I bought on Amazon because once I put it on my phone there was absolutely no sensitivity on the screen!
We haven’t had to return something online. If it wasn’t the right size, we generally just give it to someone we know who could use it.
The only purchase that I recall ever having to return was a replacement display for the one that I cracked on my laptop. The new one had several burnt pixels and although the company sent a second one immediately, I still had to wait several days for it to arrive and deal with the trouble of shipping back the defective one.

I have had to return clothing and shoes, sometimes everything fits perfectly and other times it’s not even close. I love the convenience of shopping online and free returns is a real benefit.

I haven’t had to return anything online yet! My mom was going to return a veggie slicer she got because the blades kept falling out, but the company was still working on fixing the problem so they gave her a refund instead and let her keep the slicer. She just has to be really careful using it!
I had to return my Kindle to Amazon.
