If you are one of those women who are always looking for new tools and modalities to improve the quality of their skin health, red light therapy benefits is something you need to know about.
In fact, there are many different light therapy modalities used in the skin care industry. Down below I provide a quick reference to what kind of light is used for. In this post I’ll touch more upon the red light benefits for your skin and body, though.

Pictured is a DNA Vibe Jazz Band tool for you to use at home, in your office, after your gym.

Oxidative Stress And Skin Aging
Red light therapy is one of the unique ways to stimulate, repair and protect cellular integrity. The red light wave lengths have the ability to set off a photochemical reaction inside the cell. One of the products that is released during such photochemical reaction is Nitric Oxide.
Nitric oxide is a signaling molecule responsible for the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body. Without nitric oxide, cells become dysfunctional, the skin loses hydration and collagen, and fine lines and wrinkles appear.
With the Nitric Oxide being released into the blood stream, the amount of ATP aka Adenosine triphosphate which is the source of energy for use and storage at the cellular level also increases.
When your body has an increased amounts of the two precious molecules like Nitric Oxide and ATP, it gains natural antioxidant defenses to protect itself and thwart pathogens of any kind. In simple words, your body, skin and organs gain the “magic” of anti-aging defense.
Many clinical studies have shown the benefits and affects of the red light and near red light therapies on the skin and body. The positive effects point to stimulation of collagen formation, lower internal inflammation, enhanced blood circulation, and decreased formation of inflammatory cytokines.
In short, red light therapy uses for skin and body can be incredibly beneficial for lowering inflammation and promoting natural immune protections from inside out.
Light Therapy Benefits For Skin Tissues
Skin health and vitality are the qualities any woman is looking for at any stage of life. In fact, a healthy skin is a beautiful skin. It also means that the body is free of chronic inflammation.
When you use light therapy in your beauty routine, you add some truly amazing tools to the anti-aging care of your skin.
Different light colors provide different benefits for your skin and body.
Here’s a quick reference guide for you to keep in mind when you are considering adding this or that light therapy into your beauty routine.
Effects of LED Color Therapy
Red Light Therapy includes waves of 640-660 nm (nanometers) with these beneficial effects:
– Increases cellular processes which affect a number of skin conditions like rosacea and acne.
– Boosts collagen and elastin production. And with adequate collagen in the skin, it helps to minimize formation of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture. It may even be helpful to minimize and lessen the visibility of stretch marks and scars.
– Stimulates wound healing. As the red light increases blood flow to the injured site, it increases blood circulation. Where there’s a sufficient blood flow, there’s more nutrients flow. Hence the healing of the afflicted region takes place.
Yellow Light incorporates the wave lengths between 575-595 nm. And this light is amazing as it:
– Reduces inflammation
– Improves lymphatic flow
– Detoxifies and increases circulation to skin cells. Check out a complete skin detoxification guide for women.
Green Light with the wave lengths of 500-525 nm produces the following positive effects on the skin:
– Calms and soothes
– Reduces redness
– Lessens hyperpigmentation
And Blue Light with the waves near 410-450 nm is super effective because it:
– Reduces bacteria
– Improves acne, and acne is caused by the growth of bacteria
Wearable Light Therapy Wrap Options
You can easily make your choice when shopping for your own DNAVibe Jazz Band. The company offers 3 options in their virtual store :
– Light version that has 2 modes for muscle relief.
– Live version that adds additional two functional modes, making it four in total.
– Vibe version with 4 personalized modalities that are controlled via phone app.
As a matter of fact, going with DNA Vibe Jazz Band Live version is all I need to get the benefits from the infrared light Jazz Band wrap. I have total control with the push button that toggles between the function, complementary modes: red, near-infrared, magnetic pulse, and micro-vibration.

Without doubt, versatility in the use of the DNA Vibe Jazz Band wrap is one of my favorite features! You can apply the red light LED wrap around your neck, shoulder and back areas, lower back, arms, elbows, hands, legs and feet. Any area on the body that calls for light therapy can be satisfied and reached by the DNAVibe wrap thanks to its flexibility and soft strap.

What I appreciate about this wearable strap with light therapy technology is that it incorporates a proprietary light diffusion technology for even saturation an avoidance of undesirable spikes.
More to it, each pad has full-silicone encapsulation for flush-fit wearability. And that’s what makes this product wrap around any part of the body easily.

DNA Vibe Jazz Band Live can be used literally for any part of the body.
Red Light Therapy Benefits For Pain
If your body needs some relief from pains and aches, consider the red light therapy tools like DNA Vibe Jazz Band Live wearable wrap. However, it is always beneficial not only to learn about any new therapy modality, supplement you have in mind, but also talk and consult with your trusted medical doctor. Together, you have a powerful way to determine the best ways your body, your skin could benefit from the existing tools and modalities.
And as a summation, I would like to close with this statement below.
“Red light therapy uses photobiomodulation, which is a low-level laser therapy that delivers red and near-infrared light to areas of your body. In doing this, it helps regenerate (or grow back) cells, restore cell function and trigger blood flow.”
And remember, where there’s an increased blood flow, there’s the power of natural healing your body provides as needed.

I have heard wonderful thing about the healing benefits of red light.
I found it interesting to read about light therapy. The DNA Vibe Jazz Band wearable wrap for pain, sounds interesting.
Antoinette,
The red light therapy delivered via DNA Vibe Jazz Band is so effective. I have tried it on several persons with different pains and aches: an athlete, an elderly person, a regular healthy person with minor discomforts, and on a person with chronic pain.
From my personal testing on the above individuals, the results are more than good. The relief was felt after the 1st session. And after 3 consecutive sessions (one session a day), the pain has disappeared in athlete, regular, and elderly person. The chronic pain in the 4th subject became manageable. So, more sessions are needed.
This was so interesting to read about! I knew nothing about red light therapy before reading this post. I may have to try it now! Thank you so much for sharing.
Lauryn,
You may want to explore your local spas to inquire about the light therapies and modalities.
Then try them before you make any purchasing desiccation for self-care.
But the red light self-care truly is invaluable for me.
I love learning about skincare. I especially love learning about natural ways like this to help benefit my skin. I am not getting any younger. I am super interested in this treatment.
Amy,
I found it more economical to use the sauna infrared treatment for my self-care than going to the spa and dish out at least $100 per treatment.
In my sauna spa blanket, I have a quick 30-40 minutes of bliss and take a shower in the convenience of my home.
I had no ideal that red light therapy was used for so many things. I need to do some checking for pain red light
Gloria,
It is a definitely worthy-doing step.
The device used in the post as an example has been tested and proven for results. Hence I’ve used it for a demo.
So interesting to learn more about this. Have heard of it but didn’t know the benefits. Thanks
Monique,
I am glad you’ve gotten some value from reading the post and learning about more light benefits that may come useful in your self-care.
I did not know anything about red light therapy. I like that it lowers inflammation.

Jamie,
Safety is the priority. Doing your own research is a must-have!
This was interesting to read about and sounds great but not sure I would do it.
Heather,
Like anything else, you need to have enough information and a need for this or that product.
And if you are not interested or have a need in skin care technology, routines, modalities, it’s OK.
I am sure you a looking for the best in your interests and needs!
I love that it boosts collagen and elastin production. I’m 41 and I can see my skin aging and so I could definitely use some help.
Amber,
Always add your own research to apply this or that technology to your needs.
Light technology has been around for a long time, and I found a ton of clinical studies that test different wave lengths, tools and machines before they hit the market.
I could use something like this after working in the yard all weekend. Sounds like it would be beneficial for those shoulder and knee aches and pains.
Maria,
You could test it out for sure.
From my personal experience and use of the mentioned tool, I’ve gotten relief in my overworked muscle.
Like with any new tool, check out with your trusted medical professional! Always helps to have the one to consult and talk to!
I would like to find facial tools to use for acne. Could you recommend the quality ones?
Hi Sienna,

I am prepping a post focusing on the light therapies for the face and decollate.
Great information, I didn’t know the benefits of the different light colors before. I may need to try out one or two of these.
Luna,
Light therapy has been well-studied and tested since the 20th century. Lots of clinical studies.
The key for you to keep in mind is to invest into a quality and reputable product. Be aware of cheap stuff out there. It can easily be harmful, rather than being therapeutic.
I have an LED face mask as I heard so many great benefits of it and I try to use it a few times a week. It’s so interesting all the different things you can to help your skin x

Definitely, light therapies are some of the most used in spas. But now we have access to the home-friendly devices with light modalities.
As a busy wife and mom, taking care of my skin health is an important aspect of my overall self-care and well-being. I love that red light therapy is non-invasive.

Light therapies have been studies well and have a lot of clinical studies.
Non-invasiveness is a huge plus for this skin modality.
Who would have thought that we can maintain skin health who the read light therapies?
