Are Air Fryers Safe to Cook With?

I hear a lot of things about Air Fryers being toxic and cancerous to cook with. Well, the best way to find out is to launch myself into the researching this topic. I often try to locate peer reviewed studies, clinical studies and read the first-hand documentation about different topics before I make my decision.

You need to know that no matter how the food is being cooked, the compounds that form during char grilling and high heat cooking methods like deep frying produce carcinogenic elements, i.e., cancerous, that harm our bodies.

“Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic amines can result from all high-heat cooking with meat.” These compounds are associated with cancer risk. A way out? Eat more vegetables, fruit and include salads and ample veggie sides when you eat meat.

According to the latest study, it has been shown that Air Fryers actually reduce the risk of toxic acrylamide formation. It means that less of the carcinogenic elements are produced during the cooking inside an air fryer.

Make sure you include other ways of cooking into your daily life. Eating from a variety of food sources and including more cruciferous vegetables and fermented foods into our daily diet are some of the ways to enjoy our food and live a life of well-being.
