Vet On Demand™ App is one of the easiest and very convenient new tools for all pet owners. I am excited to report my experience with the app and share a few things that would encourage you, as a pet owner, to make a mental note of this helpful tool.
All new things have that Fear Factor incorporated into them. Our clinging to the old and familiar has a very strong sitting with us. Yet, without venturing out and using new things designed and built to improve our lives, it would be impossible to truly enjoy everyday living.
Without further ado, look what a gem we’ve got as pet parents – Vet On Demand app that is accessible any time, any day, in any weather! All – from the comfort of your home.
#1 Register with a few clicks
Use your smart phone, iPad, computer or any Wi-Fi device to register in a few steps. It took me around five minutes to download and sign into the app.
#2 Make a Call Quickly from a Comfort of your Home
What really impressed me was that while I was waiting for the Vet to respond, I learned a few new things like:
• Who will be assisting me
• What Education this Veterinarian doctor has
• And a Fun Fact about animals
#3 Using the Screen/Camera Interface
Extra convenience like using your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch screen gives an option to show your pet to the veterinarian for better observation and more valuable feedback to you. Sadly, this app is not yet available on Android.
#4 Receipt at the end of the call
The summary of the call is provided to you as a separate screen where you can Rate the visit, Add this doctor to your favorites for the next time, the length and cost of the call. All these details are important to give us the summation of the entire experience with the vet.
I have also received a great Feedback from a Veterinarian about what he, as a pet doctor, looks for in the call from us, users.
• Give Details of the cal: Be concise and clear
• Focus on the details What happened, When it happened, What symptoms your pet has
• If you’re looking for a 2nd opinion during the call – include the Lab Work for your pet
• That truly is helpful to a vet to expedite the opinion and saves you time and money
• During the call, try to use blinds or curtains behind you to reduce the glare of the screen
My personal experience with Vet On Demand app was superb! I am a happy camper to test this app and get advice about my Cornish Rex cats’ behavioral challenges. Thanks to the app, I did not have to travel to a hospital, instead I was advised from the convenience of my own home.

Sounds like a wonderful tool for pet owners! Our local vet wont give us any form of advice via the phone, it’s always “Well it could be many things. Please bring them in so we can do x y and z tests. blah blah”. Next thing you know it was a $500 vet visit and there was nothing majorly wrong.
The app was very interesting. I was able to get some general information about Brulee’s constant eye drainage, but I wouldn’t use this app as a substitute for actually visiting the vet.
