OH, MY! My daughter is turning 14! Of course the typical party to have for a bunch of 14 year old girls is a Slumber Party. We decided on a spa party. The girls will have their nails done and homemade facials with the classic cucumbers-over-their-eyes!
The food, decorations and spa treatments were perfectly planned! What could I do to make my daughter feel extra special?
I thought of cute little pajamas, but it wasn’t what I had in mind. Then I found at Memento exactly what I was looking for! Not your typical department store PJ’s, but PJ’s Monogrammed with her initials in her favorite color! WOW! Totally unique! A keepsake and a memory – all in a pajama set.
The choices were endless. Memento offers plaid college pants, plaid flannel PJ pant boxers and polka dot pants. A great combination is the pocket T-shirt which comes in a variety of colors (white, gray, black, navy, red, royal blue, light blue and purple) and unisex sizes S through XL. So many choices, hard to choose.
This was it. I chose for my daughter the perfect teal polka dot pants and a white pocket t-shirt. Wonderfully embroidered with her initials: CKD. Which is what we all call her for short, especially while texting.

When I gave her the early birthday gift, folded and wrapped just right, she didn’t know what to think. Then she saw her favorite color, purple! That was when the shrieking of pure girly joy began.
She ran to the bathroom to try it on and the screaming continued when she saw the silky white bow on the polka dot pants. Behind the bathroom door I hear:
“What does it say? My initials? Look, Mom, it has my initials on it and, it’s Purple! It’s purple!”

So…OK…it’s a Great Mom moment. It is not always easy to please a 14-year-old!
The polka-dot pants are super soft and made of 100% cotton. Baggy just enough around the legs to make you feel ultra comfortable. And did I mention the silky bow? Yes, I love that too. On the bottom of the pant leg is a small white seam that matches the bow, great detail.
I chose a white shirt pocket T-Shirt from Memento with the same purple monogramming. The monogramming letter shapes are beautiful! The threading is thick and the letters are clear to read. The thread color is rich and exactly like the one I chose off of the website. Even though it is a pocket t-shirt, the monogramming is done through the pocket making it unusable.
Memento sent a great little tag that stated
1. An item that serves to remind one of a person or past event
2. Keepsake
That is what I created by choosing my daughter’s favorite colors in a perfect Polka-Dot PJ Pant and Pocket T-Shirt.
