Mexican Spiced Coffee
This coffee recipe calls for spices like cinnamon, chili powder and cayenne pepper. In small quantities, these spices add more taste and palatability to the cup of coffee you are going to enjoy. The benefits of these spices are well-known and have been used throughout the centuries by different ancient cultures. Here are some benefits to highlight for our FYI.
Cayenne Pepper
It’s known for its detoxing and cleansing mechanisms or regimes. Cayenne is a known circulatory stimulant. It increases the pulse of our lymphatic and digestive rhythms. By heating the body, the natural process of detoxification occurs.
Cayenne also causes us to sweat – another important process of detoxification. Combined with lemon juice and honey, cayenne tea is an excellent morning beverage for total body detox.
Using cayenne pepper in different foods and beverages, we bring in additional channels and ways for our body to detoxify in a natural way.
Chili Pepper
Chilis are some of the best antioxidants we can ever add to our meals and different recipes, including beverages.
Chili peppers contain Vitamin C, carotenoids alongside with capsaicin – the ingredients that research finds to improve insulin regulation. Chilis can be added to our omelets, soups, teas and coffee drinks. Add chili powder or chili pepper infused oils to your salad or mashed potatoes or bean recipes to spice up and add taste. Chili peppers truly add a valuable array of benefits to our well-being.

I haven’t ever had Mexican coffee. We had a sampling of Mexican hot chocolate this past Sunday at church. It wasn’t my cup of tea. It was a bit to thick for me.
That sounds really good. Although I’m not the biggest fan of coffee, I do enjoy a few coffee drinks. I’ll have to give this one a try.
