What could the infrared light therapy benefits for every woman be? Personally, I have been enjoying the benefits of infrared light for my own well-being for the past couple of years. However, I started my research and interest in this technology a few years earlier.
With the beauty and health products market moving fast, we, consumers, can now enjoy products at home that utilize tech knowledge from discoveries used for private or government projects. Infrared light is one of such technologies used in wellness products for our personal improvement and natural healing.
High Maintenance Woman Has A Unique Meaning For Me
Who doesn’t like those trips to spas and cosmetic salons to relax and receive so needed procedures and modalities to benefit our well-being? The vast majority, though, of such trips are either very limited to the procedure women choose to do – like a manicure, pedicure, an eye brow threading, a facial, a massage.
Another wide-spread reason of so needed pampering at a spa a trip is associated with an upcoming event like a wedding (when brides set a budget for their regular trips to salons to get things in ship-shape), anniversary, vacations.
The benefits of health maintenance are unequivocal, however they come at a great cost when we use the services of salons and spas. That is why I do my best to figure out the routines that support my well-being, my beauty needs and are equal or even superior to salon services.
In my vocabulary, a high maintenance woman is the one who puts her health and well-being as the priority in her daily routine.

Benefits of Infrared Sauna Therapy
Though the clinical studies on the infrared light benefits for wrinkles, skin, pain and other conditions are not as prevalent, they do have statistics, examples and recommendations on how to use infrared sauna therapy in your life.
Let me throw at you a few terms that you will see in today’s searches: far-infrared saunas or near-infrared saunas. Both terms are interchangeable.
Shop for the home spa infrared sauna HERE.
Infraread saunas use heat and light in the form of infrared light waves that Detoxify the body via sweat and Promote Relaxation.
Those who have been frequenting a salon for their infrared sauna therapy two to three sessions a week (50 minutes a session) have experienced the effects that range from cleared skin acne to less bloating to greater energy during the day to a much better sleep.
Studies Point to Certain Heath Benefits for A Human Body from Infrared Light Therapy
Here are some health benefits from the infrared light you could enjoy when using infrared sauna blanket or a spa session.

Watch this video demonstrating the Effects of Inflammation on the Body
- Clears skin issues like acne (keep in mind that many of skin problems stem out from chronic inflammation and sluggish lymphatic system that is responsible for clearing out the by-products and toxins from our body)
- Improves digestion and lessens bloating
- Eases anxiety

Getting into the salon for your multiple sessions a week of infrared light therapy could be costly. That is why infrared sauna blanket can come to your rescue, if you wish to experience multiple benefits of far-infrared technology within your own body.

Check out the STUDY that shows the increase of elastin and collage when using infrared light.
This skin STUDY is even more fascinating showing a significant increase of collagen in skin and a great fall in skin roughness after the infrared treatment. The collagen density, roughness, and wrinkle status were significantly improved from the control group.
Setting Up and Using Infrared Sauna Blanket Is Easy
I have started my journey into the infrared light topic a couple of years ago. At that time, I noticed a new product in the market – a home infrared sauna. I got really curious and started researching the product and the concept behind it. Those saunas are costly to install at home. The prices range anywhere from two to five thousands depending on size, material and design.
Shop for your own infrared sauna blanket HERE.
Two years later, and a health market has come up with a new product for our holistic treatment at home – an infrared sauna blanket. It is much more affordable than a sauna booth itself or regular infrared sessions with your light therapist. You can set up your own spa at home in no time! infrared light blanket is easy to operate at your convenience.
I am using a HigherDOSE Infrared Sauna blanket from a New York Spa with the same name.
Easy to set up and clean after each session at home, a blanket could become your treasured source to reap the infrared light therapy benefits.
Sweating is Healthy and Therapeutic
Sweating is a great way to clear the skin and get rid of toxins, body’s by-products, and proteins from dead cells.
As we are sweating, we are clearing our lymphatic system, allowing it to flow more freely and release the pressure from lymph nodes on the blood vessels. This alone will allow oxygen-rich blood to reach the far-away places and organs and bring nutrients to feed the them and fight infections.
Sweat will get rid of bacteria and flush it out through the lymphatic system.
So, sweating is healthy for anybody!
By slipping into your own infrared blanket, you will see the results of skin detox first-hand.
And by increased blood circulation that is a result of sweating, your body activates your para sympathetic nervous system that allows you to feel calm and peace, and better handle stress. Hence the benefits of easing the anxiety and a tighter, deeper sleep at night.
Infrared light therapy can be affordable to any woman who would like to have a healthier living, get herself back into balance with the benefits of a home-based infrared sauna blanket.
Detoxing Through Sweat
There’s no avoiding the toxins. They are all around us. And when we add the by-products from our own bodily functions, the “garbage pile” could be significant. How do you get rid of it?
Well, along with regular elimination via internal organs, sweating offers great detoxifying effects.
Archives of Environmental and Contamination Toxicology, 2011, study says the following about sweating:
“Toxic elements were found to differing degrees in each of blood, urine, and sweat. Serum levels for most metals and metalloids were comparable with those found in other studies in the scientific literature.
Induced sweating appears to be a potential method for elimination of many toxic elements from the human body.“
And here’s about sweating:
In fact, many toxic elements appeared to be preferentially excreted through sweat. Presumably stored in tissues, some toxic elements readily identified in the perspiration of some participants were not found in their serum.
Is There A Difference Between Workout Sweat And Infrared Sweat?
During the infrared session, the pores are dilated to bring up to the surface the toxins that are not normally eliminated via regular sweating.
In fact, normal sweat usually consists of water and salt.
But the sweat from the infrared sauna shows a wide variety of toxins and fats released to the surface of the skin. Look at this line-up of gunk: cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, heavy metals – mercury, aluminum, arsenic, – nicotine, sulfuric acid, ammonia, and more!
Hence if you want to really detox, then infrared sauna is for you.

Infrared Socks Do They Work?

– With infrared tech, your tissues heal and regenerate faster

infrared sauna therapy sounds interesting. I got to try it out too sometime for my skin.
I’ve heard about infrared light therapy before and I like the benefits. I’d like to give it a try one of these days. I bet it would be so relaxing.
I really didn’t understand how light could do anything to your skin! Thank you so much for this information and break down.
I am hearing about the infrared sauna therapy for the first time. Looks like there are a lot of benefits to it!
Wow I am actually shocked that I have never heard about this and how it can really have positive benefits. I think nearly everyone could do with red light therapy by the sounds of it x
I’ve seen quite a few ads for sauna blankets and been intrigued. Thanks for running through some of the benefits, definitely more intrigued now x
My girlfriends often have infrared light therapy, and they all say it works great for them. I keep saying I’m going to give it a try to see if it would assist with my muscle pain in reducing the inflammation. After reading this article, I think I’m going for it!
I have not heard of these before, but do like the sound of them and how they can be beneficial
I have never tried an infrared sauna therapy before – so the idea of being able to use this infrared blanket sounds very appealing to me. There are so many great benefits for the body and the skin!
I haven’t heard about infrared light therapy and the benefits of it. I try to sweat by exercising. But I’m keen to try the socks you recommend.
I try to sweat every day.
I won a sauna blanket have never taken it out of the shipping box…………….. OMG I need to open this box now that I know about these benfits.
Gloria,
You’d be surprised how much these infrared sauna blankets could advance your self-care!
And the only step that is holding you back is to unpack your box!
I did not know infrared light therapy blankets were a thing. I may have to get one of these soon. I kind of have been wanting to try light therapy.
Jasmine,
Light therapies are some of the most used in the spa industry and medical industry as well.
Depending on the wave length which determines the color of the light, you are getting the benefits for different areas in your body.
I’ll make a table with some top functions that each light performs for our body when we are receiving light therapy or modality.
I had no idea that there were these many benefits – especially for inflammation! I am genuinely grateful that you shared this as I could truly benefit from that aspect.
Yaya,
I’ve researched the infrared home spas for several years before I invested into an infrared blanket.
You can get an in-home spa that is amazing and under $2500 (check out Costco).
This blanket is $600 and is portable which is important to me. It is so much supportive of my body functioning and getting me into the best way I am.
Having a in-home spa like this one is super cool, I think. You can get in and out whiting the time frames that work for you.
Decide what you need and invest into one of these blankets or micro-size infrared spas.
Would love to have my own infrared blanket and do it at home. This would save a lot of trips to the spa!
Nadalie
These infrared blankets are very affordable! And they are super helpful and make a huge difference in the well-being.

Infrared light is super helpful when used correctly, like in this blanket sauna.
This is so interesting. I’ve never heard of anything like this before and am interested in learning. Thanks for sharing!
Lavanda,
Great you’ve learned something new for your potential investment – infrared blanket or sauna!
These light technologies have been around for decades now. The benefits have been studies by many clinical studies.
Watch out for my soon-to-be-published post about yet another updated Light Technology for pain and reduction of internal inflammation.
I have not heard of these treatments before but do sound great and want to try them myself now and my daughter who suffers pain
Samantha,
Happy to share the things that are affordable and effective for any woman.
Light technology has been in use for decades and has been proven via dozens of clinical studies.

It’s also good for hair loss and overall health.
Jesse,
Yes, infrared has many applications. The hair industry has begun to use the infrared scalp treatments and tools, like infrared helmets.
I have never heard anything about this. It sounds interesting. I wonder though if regular sweating due to working does the same thing. If it does, then I guess I am ahead of the game…lol
Renee,
Sweating is great. If you work out and sweat, it’s awesome.
However, the sweat you release during your workout is quite different from the sweat your body releases after, say, a 30-minute infrared sauna.
During the infrared session, the pored are dilated and bring up to the surface the toxins that are not normally eliminated via regular sweating.
Normal sweat usually consists of water and salt.
The sweat from the infrared sauna shows a wide variety of toxins and fats released to the surface of the skin. Look at this line-up of gunk: cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, heavy metals – mercury, aluminum, arsenic, – nicotine, sulfuric acid, ammonia, and more.
Hence if you want to really detox, then infrared sauna is for you.
This is really cool. I have never heard of this before but would love to try it out. It sounds great!
Melissa,
That is why I am bringing to your attention something you could benefit from.

I honestly did not know there was such a thing. I am glad I came across your blog post about Infrared light therapy. I am thinking of getting one for my husband to help him with his chronic back pain. Hope this would help!
Eileen,
Infrared energy has its powerful advantages.
When you are shopping for products, do a good research what you are getting. As I see a lot of mediocre products out there.
Higher Dose is a quality one. Here’s a link to the product, my affiliate link. But I’ve been using their infrared sauna blanket for the past three years.

First of all, I am totally unaware about it and don’t know the benefits of this infrared therapy. You have briefly described the use of this and benefits of this infrared therapy for women. It was totally new so am trying to understand and know more about it.

These are important issues, for sure, to handle.
Omg! This looks amazing. I need one of these!!!
I would love this sauna blanket. It would rid the toxins, reduce anxiety, and help me sleep.
I have heard a few people talking about this kind of skin therapy. I’d love to try it, bet it would get get rid of texture on my skin
Ellie,
Skin improvements in texture and glow are side effects of what takes place in the entire body, being more specific in its lymphatic system.
Regular sweating sessions like this one inside the sauna blanket would positively affect the lymphatic drainage.
Hoping it would help with my sciatic nerve problem.
Stacey,
It does help, as the lymphatic system gets a break from the garbage that styfles it. Overloaded lymph nodes pressure on the vital veins and arteries and inside organs. Such pressure cuts the flow in and out of organs, limiting the effect of our immune system.
Sweating like it happens during the infrared sauna session helps to move lymph and alleviate the pressure on the vital blood vessels.
Plus, you gotta try the essential moves for sciatic nerve relief.
I plan to do a series on that topic as well.
Been there, had it, and figured out my own ways to get rid of it and maintain well-being.
If this really helps with anxiety I would love to try it out.
Shirley,
What happens during these sessions are many things. One of them is focusing on the body, relaxing and finding peace during the session and extending a powerful focus on the things you do during the day.
From my personal experience, after my first session, I felt an incredible uplift and FOCUS during the day. That alone has a super power for me.
I think it would help me because I’ve been breaking out more lately, but I also would love to help get my core healthier, as well.
How do you think this Infrared Blanket will help your personal well-being?
look wonderful,and i am just like linus..thanks
I think it could better help me deal with anxiety.
The idea of being able to have a sweat session at home instead of finding a sauna sounds convenient.

I’m going through a lot of stress right now with a divorce. I think something like this could help me at the end of day. Especially with the lack of sunlight and shorter days.
I’ve never heard of anything like this before, and it looks amazing. I’ve long dealt with a number of mental health diagnoses, and for the past couple of months I’ve been having a really difficult time at night (especially with panic attacks). It’s kind of new for me to try a more holistic approach, but when something like unexpected anxiety/panic comes up I need something besides / other than a pill. I was surprised by how much a weighted blanket helped, and I would love to try this product. I’m really glad that I came upon this post!

I think this blanket will help to ease my anxiety at bedtime. That’s how it will help my well being!
Janet,
Yes, this “blanket” therapy is the key to a better and deeper sleep.
I think it would help me after ballet to soothe my sore muscles.
Heather,
You will definitely benefit from this infrared sauna blanket.
After intense ballet sessions, you need a good lymphatic massage, and this blanket does exactly that: sweating!
I think that this blanket would greatly help reduce my stress level! Work has been very busy and stressful and I feel my body is constantly tired and “revved up”
Natalie,
This is a super effective way to get rid of toxins and gain more focus and energy.
This looks like a good way to relax.
Shelly,
A Relaxing feeling will come After the sweating session!
I think it would be great for pain.
Huguette,
This is an incredible way to lower bodily inflammation.
This would help me detox, most likely relieve some stress too. Sounds neat, simple sauna like solution to do on the go or at home.
Calvin,
I am sold on this one: it is a must-have for our crazy lives.
Calvin,
Yes, it is a super convenient detox and self-care when it comes tending to your health.
I think it will help with a detox sweat session
Monique,
You will feel really energized after the first “sweat” session!
Just feeling good for the rest of the day and being able to focus sharp on the moment is a huge win for me.
I think this would be so helpful for the joint inflammation I have and help me have a more restful sleep. I bet my husband would benefit from it when he comes back from the gym.
Lynne,
This blanket is an amazing asset to anybody’s self-care at home!
I think it sounds relaxing.
Elizabeth,
It may not be relaxing in the beginning of your sessions, at least it wasn’t for me. As my brain was focusing what was going on in my body.
From my extensive research I’ve done on an infrared sauna blanket, it is much more powerful to stay with the process during a sweating session, rather than watching TV or listening to the music.
When the brain focuses on what is going on in every cell of your body, the healing is happening in an accelerated pace.
This really sounds luxurious. I would probably feel awesome after some pampering with this!
Dana,
It feels incredible especially after a few sessions.
But an immediate effect for me was how focused I stayed during the entire day.
I like how it can clear skin issues.
Darlene,
I will follow up in a few weeks with the SKIN situation.
But what each session in this infrared blanket gives is an incredible energy for the day.
I think this would help me de-stress as I have a special needs child who can be frustrating & loud at times!
Krista,
No doubt you’d benefit from this incredible sauna blanket.
I think it would be a good way to get rid of some toxins… very interesting concept!
Randi,
The principle is old, but the delivery made it possible to use the infrared technology at home with the maximum results, like in a spa.
It might help reduce some of my pain.
Will,
I’ve researched this infrared light technology deep enough for my own well-being. Having read about two dozen of clinical studies and their findings do show that the infrared light reduced internal inflammation in the body. It means in plain English that it reduced the sources of aches and pains.
Inflammation is a positive mechanism inside of us, letting us know what goes wrong here and there by sending pain to the brain. But when inflammation becomes CHRONIC, then the problems accelerate and become diseases.
This sounds like such a luxurious experience! No doubt that at the end of it, you probably felt like a million dollars!
Emily,
After my first session of sweating, I felt really energized for the entire day in a more powerful way – had more focus on each task.
After a week of this daily routine, I had swelling subside, got my skin truly bright and slightly glowing even to my own eyes.
I will follow up after a few weeks of this sauna therapy in this post to report on any new developments in my body.
I’ve heard of the benefits of sauna, but you’ve shared so much more! I can’t wait to check it out!
My amazing Claudia,
This sauna experience out of my own home is one of the truly life changing for me.
I had no idea something like this existed. I need to sweat away some toxins for sure!
Jennifer,
You would do a HUGE favor to yourself and your lymphatic system – drain all that junk out of your body!
The first week of daily sweating will give you results to enjoy!
That sounds really relaxing! Would love to try it!
Toni,
It is relaxing in a way that you really get connected to your body while you’re lying in this infrared blanket. You notice all aches and pains and get your mind FOCUS on each body part.
I would recommend to do your regular sauna sweating without any music, i.e., distraction. I have proven to myself that when I focus on each problem area during my sessions, I get rid of the problem faster.
I’ve found so many interesting things in this post! Thanks for sharing with us!
Catalina,
It’s been a journey for me to figure out my well-being routine after my personal, life-changing experience.
This looks amazing for my health.
the benefits sound interesting! would love to try it one day!
Krystal,
From my first session, I had a really focused feeling day.
From my weeks-worth of sessions spent in this sauna blanket, my body started changing in a miraculous for me ways.
Oh fab! We would be so happy if we own one of this. My mom and me would benefit a lot in this.
Ruth,
It has become one of the must-haves for me in my home environment. No more salons or spas and their biting price tags for the treatments I can receive in the comfort of my home. Truly life-changing.
I am so intrigued by this. I had no idea that there were so many benefits to infrared light.
Rachel,
Try out a few sessions in your local far-infrared sauna to truly appreciate the benefits of the infrared light.
The blanket is an awesome investment if you want to keep the feeling, the energy, the internal and external well-being your top priority at a fraction of price!
I will give an update in a few weeks, as I am working on my own situation.
I have tried an infared spa and have always wanted one but the cost has held me back. This would something I would buy.
Tara,
I am with you. I always wanted my own sauna! But due to our travel and living in different places, it was not practical.
Now, I have a great PORTABLE sauna without a huge expense, but with the same benefits.
Sweating is the first step to understanding our bodies much better.
I totally need to look into this blanket. I bought a far infrared sauna and I used it regularly to help with my pain and inflammation from lupus. It helped so much. When we moved across the country and downsized from 3600 to 1200 sq ft, I sold my sauna. I miss it so much!
Lisa,
This infrared technology is one of the key factors to get our lymphatic system onto the cleaner grounds.
What I keep discovering by reading clinical research and communicating with practicing doctors is that the lymphatic system is the key to our health.
I wanted an infrared sauna, but kept postponing it. Now, I have the blanket. AMAZING!
I take hot yoga because I like to sweat it out. I would absolutely love to try one of these.
Robin,
I love it, as it offers a lot of convenience within my day’s busy schedule.
I’d love to try this. It seems like it would really be good for me. I’ve never actually heard of infrared light therapy before.
Stacie,
I’ve read a dozen of clinical research papers going into details of each study.
Plus I’ve researched the studies done by many organizations that didn’t require IRBs.
The results are truly impressive from skin to digestive system to back pain and cardiovascular health.
I am blown away, and decided not to postpone any more to start using this “infrared sweating.” I’ll give an update in a few weeks.
