I love creating my own recipes and experiment with them all the time. My family has a saying that I cannot cook the same dish twice. They probably are right!
My desire to utilize the variety of ingredients and food sources in my house are all the culprit to it!
As a minimum, I prepare a fresh salad with raw veggies and some kind of protein in it daily. I take anything that’s available in my fridge and make a quick but very colorful and deliciously scrumptious creation. I would throw arugula, spinach, tomatoes, onions, peppers, green peas, seeds and nuts, sprouts into it. Add some of my favorite dressings which I prepare myself – and voila, I am ready to feast on it!
Being introduced to new products in the market has an element of excitement in it for me! Why? Because I am going to experiment with the recipes!
The most recent experiment has involved Skillet Sauces by Campbell’s. Without further ado, here’s what I managed to prepare in 20 minutes for two people.
Personally, I absolutely love steamed vegetables. My most favorite is Cauliflower. Luckily, I got plenty of it in my refrigerator that evening. So, Step 1 – Steam Cauliflower.
Step 2 – I had to pick one of the Skillet Sauces that would go well with my dish, which is steamed vegetables and wild rice. Here’s what I’ve got as my choices.
I decided to go with Creamy Chipotle Skillet Sauce.
Step 3 – As I am a vegetarian, I decided to saute more vegetables to go with my chosen skillet sauce. I chopped up some onions and green peppers to make a nice base for my upcoming sauce.
Step 4 – Add my Skillet Sauce to the sauteed vegetable base.
Step 5 – Serve wild rice with steamed cauliflower and Campbell’s Skillet Creamy Chipotle Sauce.
What did I find out about this new series of Campbell’s Skillet Sauces while preparing my own recipes?

TIPS & Warnings
• Add 1 Measuring Cup of Water during your preparation of the sauce. It is way too thick and won’t be available for 2 people as it is stated on the package!
• For those who watch their diets, these skillet sauces are fairly high in Sodium.
The total amount of Sodium for the Creamy Chipotle variety I’ve prepared was 1,640 mg for the total package.
My overall experience with Campbell’s Skillet Sauces has been very positive. I tried four sauces with different dishes, all vegetable based, and added such ingredients as quinoa, tofu, and grilled salmon to my recipes. For a busy person, these sauces could be helpful to create a delicious meal in no time by adding healthy choices of vegetables and lean proteins to them.

I do the same thing, I always cook something different every time, I love changing it up and creating something new also.
I’ve tested all 4 packages of the Skillet Sauses, and they were very good. The only thing is I added at lease 1 cup of water to dilute the contents and to lower the salty taste.
