How hard are you trying to influence your child to eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables? How frequently do you actually do it?
As the studies prove it, it takes about 20 times to introduce a new food item into a child’s diet. With that said, if you wish your offspring to indulge in green beans, it may take at least 20 times to offer this item during her meal.
And this is not all. It takes a personal example to eat in front of your children the same foods that you would like them eat. Yep. Eat your green beans and offer them at the same meal to your precious!
One more thing to keep in mind. All the eating habits, the kids – both boys and girls – pick up from their mothers. All the exercise habits are influenced by the children’s fathers.
So, if you would like this year to start on a vibrant healthy foot, do all three:
1. Offer healthy new foods to your children (as much as 20 times it takes! to be liked by the kids)
2. Consume those healthy foods at the same time when your children have their meals
3. Remind your hubby to get into a regular exercise routine, as you are being a stellar example of healthy eating to the whole family!
