Are you the one who feeds the same food to your dog or cat for the entire life of a pet? If it is close to this truth, then please reconsider and start attending to your pet’s needs by changing dog food and cat food as their lives call for it.
Hill’s Science Diet is in the forefront of research of pet’s health and nutritional needs and offers an amazing variety of sources on pet health in general and dog and cat nutrition with specific highlights of different foods and ingredients. Their dog and cat food formulations target specific pet’s age, condition, and needs.
Helpful Points to Encourage and Help You To Feed Your Pet In A Healthy Way on the Daily Basis
#1 Learn About the Breed
Every pet breed has its own unique requirements when it comes down to a deliciously nutritious mealtime. Know your breed and recommendations what kind of foods and ingredients are highly recommended and why. Keep updating your knowledge about your pet’s health and food options by doing research online and by talking to your veterinarian.
By being equipped with facts about your specific bread and requirements for its well-being, it is more likely you’d notice any deviations in health on time and rush your furry friend to the vet.
#2 Talk to Your Veterinarian
It would wise to start your conversation about your pet’s dietary needs with your family veterinarian. She is well equipped with a ton of knowledge not only about your specific pet breed, but also about the current trends of pet foods and ingredients, boosters, vitamins, and all the good and the bad stuff that could be included into a pet’s commercially sold food.
Ask your vet about food samples and introduce them to your pets. Don’t be shy to do an offering several times, if your pet doesn’t take it with enthusiasm you’d expect from it! Unless, your pet really refuses the food, talk to your vet and ask about the options for a more pleasant, non-compromising in taste and nutrition mealtime solution for your pet.
#3 Be Aware about Nutritional Needs for Every Stage of your Pet’s Life
Our pets age no matter how much we’d love them to stay young and alert. To maintain the quality of life and to support their organism we are responsible for updating their menus with every new stage of their lives.
Obviously, our Vets are superbly equipped with all the knowledge and tips. However, it would be so much helpful for everybody and beneficial for our pets if we would self-educate ourselves and research our pet’s unique needs as they age.
#4 Read the Labels!
That is Ingredients Labels on food packages when you stock up on pet food. Even if you do know the Brand and have read the Ingredients list multiple times, take your time to take a look every now and then to make sure that it hasn’t changed.
What some companies could do is to review the formula, update the ingredients: add or take some out, – and voila, a new ingredients list would be on your pet’s menu.
What I usually do is go through ingredients lists every time I pick up a new pack of food for my furry babies. It takes only a few seconds to glance over to confirm them.
Your pet’s health is in your hands and depends on what goes through their stomach as well. Choose your pet’s food wisely. Research best dog and cat food options as well as optimal dosage for feeding and necessary ingredients for every stage of life of your pet.

I’m really picky on what I use to feed my cat when he was alive. I know when I’m ready for my next kitty, that I will be looking to see what is new and science diet is definitely something I’m interested in.
awww looks like a great brand. I am always looking for new kinds for my car.
Awww I love your kitties. I can’t wait to get my kitty I love science diet I always fed it to my chocolate lab.
My mom won’t allow us to have pets at home so I don’t know anything about breed. I guess the best thing to do if unsure is to go and visit the vet at all times. Like any living creature, what goes into the stomach is important.
We have a tabby cat and he enjoys all the food we feed him; wet and dry. I make sure to give him a bowl of water with his food too.
Our pets eat just about anything. And the most frustrating thing is that they want to eat the other pet’s food. Not their own. Our chihuahua and snautzer both love catfood. Snautzer loves the tiny dogs petfood that I buy for the chihuahua. And the cat wants to eat the medium dog’s food. They are all nuts.
Thank you for sharing this information. My cat that died several years ago had Hill’s Science Diet recommended to him by our vet after he had kidney problems. It really did help him maintain a healthy weight and have less digestive system problems.
Hill’s Science Diet sounds like a great food for cats! It’s just as important to read labels for animals!
Hill’s Science Diet looks like a good product for pets! I agree…it’s just as important to read food labels for our pets.
So so important to read labels and watch your animals for signs of food issues, like skin issues and to change their food if needed. They can’t really communicate that something doesn’t agree with them, so it’s always good to pay attention!
Our cat is using Science Diet to help with her kidney function. So far so good, it seems to be helping.
That’s a great deal to save $10—I will be passing this on to my mother-in-law as she has the cats-appreciate the info too! your kittys are very cute!!
I will get this for our certified cat lady neighbor. she’d love anything to pamper her precious Persians

My kitties like Hill’s. We live in a very rural area so we wait for the mobile vet to come to town for their check ups

I don’t currently have pets but this product looks really good for them. Thanks for sharing.
My dog’s have sensitive tummies and I have to be careful what I give them. They are currently on Pedigree but I wish that I could give them something better.
I don’t have a pet, but it is very important to feed them nutritious food. If we can’t have the same food every day, then they shouldn’t have to either.
I love Hill’s Science Diet. It’s the inky brand that will keep the odor down with our cat that has yummy issues.
My cat is such a picky eater–I may try this brand. Usually she will only eat one or two brands and stick her nose up at the rest–whether it is good for her or not!
