Patrick’s Law Initiative is the step any human being would vote for.
Patrick the puppy was accidently discovered on March 16, 2011 in the garbage shoot of one of the New Jersey highrises. The maintenance personnel noticed a movement in the garbage bag and opened it up to discover a skeleton of a dog. It was Patrick.
Patrick was starved to skin and bones, then was dumped into the garbage. Still alive and breathing.
How can anyone with the right sense of humanity and compassion do such a horrible thing? It can be compared only to the Nazi concentration camps. No less.
Patrick was rushed to the Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, NJ, where he was brought back to life by multiple blood transfusions and a lot of warm blankets and a ton of love.
The person who allegedly starved Patrick is Kisha Curtis, 28. Curtis was initially charged with animal cruelty, but on Tuesday the 29th those charges were upgraded to “torture or torment of a living creature,” which carries a possible sentence of 18 months in prison and a $3,000 fine.
According to officials, Patrick had not been fed for about a month. The normally 50-pound dog weighed about 20 pounds when found.
Patrick is my hero who survived against all these cruel circumstances. Check out his story and recovery following the links below.
