RECAP: Yvonne Busbee celebrates her life by creating products out of functional fibers that have anti microbial, electrical conductivity properties, and are eco friendly for our environment.
Yvonne never stops creating a list of potential products made out of functional fibers with silver, and very soon with zinc ions. In this part of the interview, this idea and mission-driven entrepreneur shares her passion for creating a product of a million usage.
CelebrateWoman (CW) Who is the primary target for XtremEarth products?
Yvonne Busbee (Yvonne) Any household, any family that is environment and health conscious. XtremEarth products that contain silver ions protect the whole family from bacteria that reside or brought in inside the house.
More to that, our products are chemicals and dye FREE.
Another plus to use the products with functional fibers is saving money and leaving a smaller carbon footprint on the environment.
CW What is the #1 reason someone should buy XtremEarth products?
Yvonne Functionality. The products with the qualities that can change any person’s life for a better, healthier, with more energy life style.
CW What benefits will a person receive when using XtremEarth products regularly?
Yvonne I would summarize it into the following:
• Empowering Health: Using our products you’ll protect yourself from the harmful bacteria
• Sustainable Products: Products with functional fibers do not require frequent wash, unless they’re really soiled. Harmful to your health agents are eliminated by the action of silver ions in the fabric structure. That means the less frequently you wash, the more energy saving you’ll do for the environment.
• Unique Functionality: Silver ions are not washed out with each wash cycle. They stay put in the fibers for a long, long time. Our tests indicated that silver ions stay in the cloth even when the cloth fibers are worn out to the extreme.
CW How does the price of XtremEarth compare to others in your category?
Yvonne The functionality of each product will add anywhere from $1 to $3 to each product piece. The prices are competitive in the categories where the products will be created (like towels, socks, robes, etc.)
CW Everyone is talking these days about being green. To me, that includes being Fair Trade, being sustainable, and organic. It might even include using alternative energy, or buying energy offsets. How does your company, your product, measure-up on these important issues?
Yvonne Our products are sustainable as they are produced out of fast growing replenishable poplar tree farm pulp.
We use water and amine oxides to separate wood cellulose which makes it safe for environment. No chemicals are used in the process at all.
We use silver nitrate and food grade zinc supplement to incorporate into the fibers.
All cotton we use for fabric production is grown locally in North Carolina, which makes it great for supporting local economy. We also plan to involve Native American tribes into production of XtremEarth products in the future.
CW Where can my readers find your products to buy and to start using them?
Yvonne We have some products with functional fibers sold at our website. In addition, we are working with multiple retailers that would like to carry our products. The links to them are not available yet, but they’ll be coming soon to the website.
I definitely will be buying more of Yvonne Busbee’s products as they become available to us, the ultimate consumers of such amazing products. For now, I just have one cloth I use in the kitchen area to clean up all the cupboards and table surfaces. Using XtremEarth product with the knowledge that it cleans and kills harmful pathogenic agents is comforting. And actually, it makes me happy and brings a smile on my face every time I clean up a messy spot or pick up after my two-year-old.
