Water facts are not only fun, they reflect the importance of water on the planet for every biological living being. As long as we have access to water, protect our natural reservoirs, and remember to use it regularly for personal needs, we shall enjoy the benefits of this amazing substance.
Here are five water facts we usually dismiss or forget about
Water dissolves more substances than any other liquid on earth
Hint: Drink a lot of water to carry away toxins and by-products from your bodily chemical reactions. The mornings are especially important to flush away all those nightly by-products from your body.
Caffeine in drinks acts as diuretic and prevents water to travel to locations where it’s needed
Hint: It’s OK to drink coffee and tea or soft drinks. Just remember the effect caffeine produces on your body. And when drunk in excess and on the regular basis, your bodily functions may suffer.
Water can cause intoxication when it is drunk quickly and in large quantities
Hint: Drink a reasonable amount and slowly. Large quantity of water consumed in a gulp would dilute sodium amounts in the blood stream and cause water imbalance in the brain, resulting in water intoxication.
A drop of bodily water of 2% can cause fuzzy short-term memory, blurry vision, trouble with simple math. Some data indicates that around 75% of American population is chronically dehydrated.
Hint: Drink water before you feel thirsty. When you feel thirst, you’re already lost about 1% of bodily fluids.
Well Hydrated healthy body has a more beautiful skin
Hint: Remember that water bottle on your desk! Carry it with you especially in hot time of the year. Water brings minerals and vital food to the cells, carries away cellular by-products. The overall result is a healthy-looking skin.
Look at this amazingly choreographed video proclaiming the beauty of water, the purity of its intentions, and the dimensions it travels within our body.
Human bodies in this acrobatically liquid dance performance resemble that of water and its fluidity when it washes and delivers nutrients to our cells, muscles, organs and tissues.
The aerial choreography paired with magnificent water effects are simply stunning.
By the way, this performance was made possible thanks to AiRealistic, an aerial theater company with roots in Cirque du Soleil and Le Reve. They are the ones who performed at the launch of Nestel’s Natural Spring Water in New York on June 5.
This is a timely reminder to all of us to drink water to hydrate our bodies to allow them to perform at their peak.
