Everyday self care routine differ from person to person. The power of living in each day comes from your desire to live life to the fullest. It is not just the self care products that change the quality of our lives. Rather it is a mind set and the joy with which we approach each day’s tasks.
Everyday self care routines play a powerful role in transforming our lives from ordinary to extra special. Special comes from your unique identity, your visualized dreams, and engrossing ideas you begin your day with.
Here are some simple self care rituals that could elevate you and your span of living when you begin practicing them consistently. The word “consistent” has the magic in it!
Can you imagine if you did the same thing again and again for many days and years?
I think I can see you smiling or chuckling, depending on which action you have consistently been practicing. I also remember a TV ad with Christy Yamaguchi where she utters at the end of her training sessions that “Practice Makes Perfect.”
But joking aside, daily self care activities can build your stamina and happiness, and invite self-confidence in all you need to build your live step-by-step.
Self Care Routines You Can Gift Yourself This Year
I like to include clean beauty skincare into my self care day ideas. Clean beauty means to me that no harmful ingredients, known or suspected, are included in the formulation of the products that aim for our largest organ skin.
Check out this extensive guide on How to Slow Down Your Skin Aging.
This year I can definitely expand my morning and nigthtime routine with the products that have more herbs with antioxidant and collagen-building values.
Cordial Organics has been created by two woman who brought their love and knowledge about skin care into their formulations. This skin care line contains the main clean skincare products that will do at least two things for any woman.
First, you will use the natural beauty products that were expertly crafted with zero toxins in them. Second, you can enjoy a therapeutic effect from the skin care formulations that are infused with essential oils and CBD which is anti-inflammatory in its nature.
Lavender Hydrosol
What is a Hydrosol?
Hydrosol or “flower waters” are produced by distilling fresh leaves, fruits, flowers, and other plant materials. With similar properties to essential oils, these aromatic flower waters are a much lighter and less concentrated than essential oils.
How I use a hydrosol in my everyday self care routine is substituting in for tonic. Once I clean my skin, I spray liberally with a hydrosol solution to prep the skin surface for the actives like my daily moisturizer or daily cream.
You can also use this Lavender Hydrosol in many other ways like:
- add it to your favorite clay mask
- use it as a room spray
- spritz it on top of your water for a uplifting aromatic way to hydrate
- clean off your yoga mat – yes, lavender has antimicrobial properties!
Facial Oil Benefits
Facial oils can work wonders when you incorporate them into your regular self care routine. Rich facial oils are mostly suitable for most skin types. If you are looking for a refreshed look and anti-aging effects, then use a facial oil as your effective tool.
When used regularly, facial oils are hydrating to our skin. Depending on the skin type, facial oils can be restorative and produce that so-desired glow within a short period of time. And when we use a facial oil long-term, then we are in for a healthy and plump skin in all seasons.
Read more on how to make your skin Smooth again while learning the main causes of dry skin.
Depending on the formulation of a facial oil, you can address different skin issues from dryness to aging to structural damage from UV exposure, and even skin infections like acne.
Always look into the ingredients an facial oil is made with! There are a lot of nourishing facial oils that are suitable for your self care checklist! Including them in your evening or morning self care routine can offer big skin care payoffs like fighting inflammation and boosting skin elasticity.

Myofascial Release Made Possible with Unique Self Care Tool
Have you ever thought how all organs and muscles are situated inside the body? The magic is in Fascia, the connective tissue! It is like a net that covers and penetrates all the bones, muscles, organs, arteries and veins. There’s no such space inside the body where there’s no fascia.
With the help of fascia, our organs, bones, muscles are separated from other internal neighbors.
It is vital that fascia is always in a relaxed, not tight, state.
In my post about Self Myofascial Release, I explain in more detail what fascial release does to the entire body, including our skin.
Not knowing abou a myofascial release is a huge disfavor to the well-being of our physical body and mental state.
What happens when fascia becomes tight is when tiny adhesions appear on its surface. These adhesions can stick to each other preventing our a free range of motion for fascia. It can cause excruciating pain that can easily become a chronic pain.
If you love incorporating different techniques for your self care routine, check out the Infrared Light Therapy Benefits.
How do you prevent and get rid of such adhesions and fascia tightness is by taking a few preventative steps.
Tips to improve fascia health
Speaking from my personal experience and educating myself on lymphatic system and fascia functionality, here are some helpful tips to support your personal well-being when it comes to well functioning lymphatic system and fascia.
- Keep yourself hydrated. When you have a balanced volume of water in your body, your fascia has less complaints and your lymphatic system moves easily, collecting all the bodily by-products.
- Try fascia release tool to address the tight spots and effectively get rid of pain. Kairetool can help to pin point those painful places in the body and release the pain.
- Incorporate daily stretching several times during the day. You will contribute to a better functioning of your lymphatic system, plus release the tension of fascia.
Improved Skin Condition When Fascia Release Is Performed
As a side effect of stressed fascia, our skin can really show it. Have you ever noticed those dimples in the skin in different areas of your body? As fascia gets stressed and sore, it can easily adhere to the skin causing those unwanted visible dimples.
Regularly using lymphatic massage and fascia release tools like this Kairetool, I was able to get rid of pain. As a side effect, the look of my skin has improved.
Any time I have a few moments not doing anything, I get my kairetool and take care of tight spots in my body. I also adore using this fascia release tool for my face.
The benefits from using the techniques in conjunction with a kairetool are several:
- Remove swelling by removing toxins from the muscles and skin
- Reduce puffiness in the face, neck and other body parts
- Lessen the appearance of cellulite by helping fascia to detach from the inside of the skin

No wonder our hair gets damage throughout our life. The damage comes from aging, product buildup, chemical use on hair, from heat and pollution.

Well, to get you and me back on track with well-being we deserve, SaveMeFrom hair masks come to our rescue!

Mist bottle
Sooner or later, any woman would reach that point in her life to ask what she really needs to keep her skin beautiful and young.
One of the essential components of young-looking skin is its moisture level. Before you get to any of the top of the line lotions and creams, do consider one of the basic elements we all have access to.
A Skin Research and Technology study has found that we need just one ingredient to achieve beautiful, hydrated skin – clean water.
The study conducted at Aichi Medical University in Japan found that the women’s moisture levels and elasticity dramatically improved after a good misting with tiny water particles.
So, before you go to expensive skin care products, try misting thy face daily. And I’ve got a super nifty product that is unique, too. It is called MISTRO 3 fine mist spray bottle.
This bottle is not like any other spray bottle. Nope. It has the patented technology to deliver the moisture level in the form that your skin on the face will respond to it. It is a great gift to you or anybody else who cares about the health and the looks of their skin.
Is Gratitude On Your Self Care Checklist?
Without doubt if we neglect our emotional and mental state daily, then it will begin reflect on everything we do in life.
One of the best ways to keep our brain and soul in balance and at peace is practicing a daily art of gratitude, journaling and creative expression.
I have stumbled across some simple, yet very extraordinary self care tools to support myself during a busy day and week.
Promote Well-Being with Art of Being Deck of Cards
As singer and songwriter Lizzo wisely says, “Woo girl, need to kick off your shoes. Got to take a deep breath, time to focus on YOU.” As women, we have a natural disposition to put every single person and their needs before us.
Children, partners, our family and friends. We strive to give everyone our all the time and overlook our own needs and desires. The “Art of Being” card deck crafted by Under The Sunlight helps you put self-care into ACTION.
We are not talking about the “go get your nails done” kind of self-care (which counts too). Instead, we are referring to the self-care of finding joy in the present moment; because when we do that, it opens us to a world of beautiful things to be thankful for.
Each week, choose a card from the deck and be in practice; take a walk one week, do a social detox next or send your BFF a “just because” love note. The point being there is more than one path to living joyfully, and the cards encourage you to explore and choose things most connected to who you are and feel good.
When you put yourself first, you maintain your mental and physical well-being and have more loving, powerful energy to show up for others.
Raise Your Dreams to A New Level with Curiosity Cards
Are you worthy of the life you live in your dreams? As women, we may very well already be in tune with our emotions. But too often, we tend to doubt ourselves by focusing on all the reasons we’re not good enough (just yet) for the dream job, the loving relationship, the raise.
These are the most demanding aspect of our lives, yet we don’t realize how powerful the words we choose to speak to ourselves and the impact it has on how we show up in the world.
You are worthy of the life of your dreams just as you are. The “Art of Curiosity” card deck (get it HERE), crafted by mindfulness paper goods company, Under The Sunlight, in collaboration with intuitive healer, Jordana Meade, takes you through a series of affirmations written as thought-provoking questions to investigate the internal self-talk we have with ourselves around work, relationships, family, and finances, to open the doors to understanding the potential we possess.
Curiosity challenges the fixed mindsets that hold us back and sets us on a path toward possibility and change.
All I Want for Christmas is A Good Book
Getting cozy with a good book during Holidays is one of the best-loved things I always love to do. This is a me-time, a self-reflection time. I have a huge list of books that I would love to read, and this list keeps growing. As we are all busy, we postpone reading a good book.
But during the holidays, we may have just a bit more inclination to get hold of our favorite or new books and just read.
The Legacy Letters by Carew Papritz can easily become your favorite not only for yourself, but you may want to give it as a gift, too.
The Legacy Letters reveals to us the rediscovered private letters from a dying father to his children—and his wife. His words of wisdom, interwoven between deeply personal stories and poignantly-told memories, ultimately become the practical, moral, and spiritual guidebook for his children he’d never live to see, and for his wife, his redemptive act of love. The Legacy Letters has won 5 national awards, and made publishing and literary history by winning awards in both Fiction and Non-Fiction categories!
On a Personal Note from Carew Papritz:
“I wrote this back-to-basics book to remind people how to be in the moment and remember what is really important in life. It responds to a growing need people have to reconnect with family and friends again because it is easy to get caught up in out fast-paced, 24/7, technology-drenched society.
It turns out I’m not the only one who is interested in slowing down. The Legacy Letters is the winner of 5 National awards (including the Mother’s Choice Award). Woman’s World Magazine even liked it and said “This inspirational classic is the perfect comfort book for people hungry to find meaning in their lives.”
Self-Expression Through the Art for Joy’s Sake
When we are at peace, our creative thinking can take us to the realms where sky’s the limit. Any problem-solving can become manageable, with a win-win outcome for all involved.
I believe that making small and quick crafts, painting and doodling for relaxation between our busy tasks during the day are some of the best ways to get into that magical state of mind and soul.
Kristy Rice, a gifted painter who created many drawings for Papyrus, Athropologie, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target, now has something for you and me to enjoy. The Art for Joy’s Sake is an illustration journal that we can paint ourselves. And later, we can display it on our desk and turn for inspiration when we need it. Check this beautifully-designed journal for distressing HERE.
The journal includes the colorful pages that Kristy Rice has illustrated as an example for you and me. Next to each watercolor there’s a page with contoured image identical to the colored one. It is for you and me to paint in colors of our imagination. There’s no right or wrong, only EXPRESS YOURSELF. (you can buy this journal HERE)
This simple and ultimately so magical journal for self-care could be a beautiful gift to thyself to live stress-free. There are a few recipes for nourishing your body and spirit inside the pages of this joyful journal, too.
You will be guided on how-to techniques, demonstratable palettes and brushwork inside this ultimate Art for Joy’s Sake journal. So recommend as a personal present to yourself or anybody you would like to pamper from the self-care point of view. You can get this journal HERE.
Manifestation Through Journaling
Journaling is a powerful tool you have right there on your finger tips. Jotting down your thoughts regularly, you will be able to tap into your dreams and visualize them with more vigor and intensity. That is why I adore this Manifestation Journal by Amy Chace. You can get this magical journal HERE.
A word from the Manifestation Journal creator Amy Chase:
These images and words are mere jumping-off points for your own creativity. Go off on a tangent. Write about elves and fairyland. Draw boxes or rabbits or doll face ladies. Of course there are also pages for writing and planning and thinking because those things are good. Gallop through this exciting journey anyway you want – back to front . . . upside down . . .
It’s not judging you. Add petals to those circles that could be flowers. Draw a house on that big moon. Try to figure out if that little dude with the shovel is gardening or hiding a body—then write his story. This open-minded book is about enjoying the process of creating. You’re not on a deadline; you’re relaxing and crafting with ease. Have FUN. Easy peasy. All my love, Amy Chace

I have an aloe face wash I like to use daily, but I do not really have any skincare routine.
I love aloe vera! I have an aloe plant that I use to make my own masks and skin care recipes.
I love Perricone MD particularly their cold plasma eye cream
I use Burt’s Bees facial wipes for cleansing. I use pure aloe vera gel for healing and moisturizing.
Wen,
I love aloe vera gel. I grow my own aloe plants to harvest fresh leaves and make masks and skin care products.
My favorite skincare item is my Eucerin lotion, it works best for me in the winter to fight dry skin.
I mix jojoba oil with my daily moisturizer because it adds extra moisture to my skin without causing it to break out.
Wow, Nataly,
This is a nifty way to add more protection to your skin!
I like to use Burt’s Bees lavender/honey lip cream before bed. It’s very soothing and smells great.
I Use moringa oil.
Unfortunately I do not have favorite skin care products currently. My three teens are always looking for something new to help their skin care routines and what is discarded by them becomes my skin care products. As I am noticing aging issues for my skin I know I need to do a better job for my own skin care needs.
I like ponds and dove soap.
I love victoria secret lotions!!! They are amazing!
I like Aveeno ultra calming-I think it helps with the redness on my face
I don’t really have skin products I use everyday. I like trying new products and then stick with what I like and I honestly just started using more skin products recently and haven’t really found anything I love yet.
Donna,
You will find your favorites.
For me, it is important that skin products come with non-toxic ingredients. I studies those that harm our bodies, as they tend to accumulate with years inside our skin, tissues, muscles.
That is why I only buy and try and use the skin care that has zero harmful ingredients.
You will find yours, too!
I don’t have a favorite item its just what i pick up at the store now its Advanced Cleansing Body and Face Cleanser
I usually use LaRoche Posay for moisturizer with sunscreen. I try to moisturize face and body daily, as my skin tends to be dry.
Sunscreen is a must these days.
My mom made a homemade sugar scrub last christmas as a gift. I absolutely love it!
I like to try all different brands, but I’ve had the same night time skincare routine 4ever: facewash, toner, serum and moisturizer..my morning routine is basically the same except I skip the toner and add in sunscreen.
I don’t really have a ritual but I need to start.
Dawn,
This is a good place to begin with!
I use witch hazel with some lavender and tea tree oils, because it helps tone my skin really well!
Ally,
I love witch hazel, and am using it in conjunction with all of my routines.
I use my Oil of Olay
I use a lot of different products it’s hard to remember all I use.
I use the Neutrogena line of skin care products because I have sensitive skin and it works well for me.
Mary,
It’s great you’ve found something that works for you!
Those look like wonderful products to try out. They have plenty of benefits too which I like. I’ll have to check them out sometime.
Lyanna,

Meghan,
CeraVe is a good moisturizing option for dry skin. Awesome!
I like to vary up my skincare routine because I love using new products and those I loved
a year ago are different now. Now I’m using the Grown Alchemist line – cleanser, serum, moisturizer and body lotion.
I love natural holistic skincare.
Debra,
Ditto on varying the skin care routine with seasons and body’s needs.

I use Clear Skin Toner and Moisturizer. I used Avon for years but made a change.
Polly,

Awesome, Vickie!
So great to hear success stories with skin care.
I use a sulfur acne face wash, I exfoliate with a tea tree scrub, I tone with Dickinson’s toner and I moisturize with face cream after. I also do a mask 2x a week.
Wow, Darlene,
You’re a master of skin care routine!
I use micellar water and a toner! I buy new brands all the time.
Edye,
Watching for the ingredients inside each product?
I love how this is not just another gift guide post! Lovely ideas!
Miljana,
Thank you, sweet person.
I try to offer my content in the way I, myself, would love to consume it. I am not about product reviews. Rather, I am what the needs the women have these days and how to solve them in the best way possible. Hence my posts.
These products are amazing. Self care is a growing industry and these can help any woman get it back in order.
Self Care products are so many. We need to learn how to dig through the barrage of the millions of them and find the quality ones that will meet our needs.
I have been looking for a better skincare routine but have always been overwhelmed by the amount of products targeted to help this thing and that. Maybe I should just narrow in on a couple problems areas and focus in on that with one of the products you mentioned above. Thanks for sharing!
Angel,
I am with you, there’s a myriad of skin care products out there.
I would agree with you to focus on just one are of your skin need and use A product that addresses it.
If I may suggest, ensure a good daily skin care: from cleansing, moisturizing, using creams or lotions with actives to feed and heal your skin during the day and night time.
i always put on this vitamin C tonic, but can’t see that it has helped.
Robin,
Depends what you are trying to “help” and what need you are not addressing with just a Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is essential for collagen production in our skin, and it is a great antioxidant.
It helps your skin with regeneration by assisting in formation of new cells and repairing damaged cells.
If you have some skin problems or needs, you need to contact your dermatologist to assist you with pin pointing a solution(s).
My wife used Oil Of Olay for her dry skin.
I love serums the most
I use a variety of different skin care products. I need a moisturizer for my skin and different types of anti-aging lotions and under eye creams.
I don’t have a favorite that I use daily .. I am subscribed to a couple beauty boxes and I can’t skin care items in there and will use those
I sure need to keep reminding myself about self-care. I need to get self-care part of my daily routine. Thanks for the reminder.
Garf,
We all do! Reminders work for me!
I don’t really have a skincare routine!
You’re a Super Woman, Amanda!
I use lotion as needed and like to do masks to pamper myself. These look interesting, I definitely need some help with my skincare!
Wow, this product sounds great and it has so many uses..! Thanks for sharing about it. Sounds great to add on my daily self care routine.
I’ve never heard of this brand, but your in-depth review made me interested. Seems like an affordable option for quality skincare.
My wife is actually looking more into this stuff right now, so I’ll happily pass this along!
I love all these! Thanks for making this nice list so I can pick some things for myself!
Seems like a great product for skin care routine. I always love trying new things when it comes to this. Thanks for suggesting.
Love all the products on your list! Self care is so important!
I’ve been considering spicing up my current skincare routine. This looks like it would be a great line to consider switching over to!
All these products are meant to calm the nerves and I’ve got to get one of these!
These would make some great gifts. I’m going to share this with my sister.
Self care is so important – thanks for all this inspiration. I’m gonna give the lavender hydrosol a try for sure.
Erin,
Any hydrosol would do a marvelous job depending on the needs your skin has. I have been using cucumber hydrosols for years! They are incredibly refreshing, with skin-feeding ingredients.
This is such an interesting post! Would you say that if I use a facial oil, then there’s no need for another daily moisturizer?
Anne Marie,
I usually put my daily moisturizer on the facial oil.
I call the skin care my “actives,” as these products I buy have a certain focus WHY i get them.
Some of the products have Retionoids, some are formulated with Ceramides or other ingredients that I use in complex with my daily regiment.
So, depending on your needs, use facial oil in conjunction with other products.
The notion that facial oil makes your skin oilier is not true.
Never heard of this brand before but it looks very natural and CLEAN. That’s what I like – CLEAN – no crap products! I would be game to try for sure!
GiGi,
Ditto!
Clean products can be effective when the combination of the actives is done with knowledge of sources and reactions between different active ingredients.
Thanks for sharing these beauty products info with us! I found out a lot of interesting and useful things!
Catalina,
That is why we are here to share with each other something that we learn and know on our own.
So glad you’ve found something new and useful for your own needs.
This is definitely worth a try!! Thanks for sharing this!
These sound like great products. I love skin care products with CBD in it. I totally have to try it out.
That facial oil looks absolutely amazing! During the winter, my face really dries up so my skin could really benefit from it.
Lisa,
What is interesting is that facial oil can be used year-round to benefit our skin needs.
I’m glad to see more and more products have CBD in them. Solid review on the products!
Thank you, Nate.
These products are great for men’s skin as well. My hubby uses body balms and facial oil and loves both.
I love luxurious beauty and bath products so much! At night is when I give myself a little extra case with tea, a mask, and lotions.
Amy,
Good for you, GRL! So happy you are taking care of your skin needs. Way to go!
These sound like some great products. I’m always looking for new self care products too. I’ll have to give some of them a try. Thanks for sharing!
I like that these have CBD in them. CBD is so useful for so many things.
Tara,
CBD of good quality is a great active ingredient to boost our well-being through topical applications.
The anti-inflammatory properties must be really nice. I’d be excited to refresh my skin with these products everyday.
Liz,
These are some simple, yet effective skin care products that have been proven to work.
