1. Wear Sunscreen Daily
Even on overcast days. Currently, more and more dermatologists recommend SPF30 vs SPF15.
Tip: Find the natural brands without toxic chemicals like BABO Botanicals Clear Zinc Non Nano stick, plant-based formula.
2. Exfoliate your skin regularly
For all the nutrition from skin lotions and toners to get to the deeper layers of the skin and bring effectiveness with them, you gotta allow nutrients to penetrate via skin layers. More often than not, people avoid exfolation stage of skin cleansing. Do it at least once a week. Amazon Rain exfoliator is the best I’ve found on the market and been using it for the past 3 years.
3. Hydrate your Skin with Water!
Such a simple task is skipped, too. When you reach for the water feeling thirsty, the dehydration has already comfortably took its place.
Tip: A good reminder is a Bottle of water on your desk. Even great beverages like herbal teas may dehydrate your body. The best hydration still remains with Water.
4. Mist Yourself
Mists are a good source for the outer skin hydration that do not mess your makeup. Get the ones that are 100% non-toxic and chemical free. Buy Cucumber, Rose, Lavender hydrosols and mix a bit with distilled water, making your own mist. I do it daily! Misting makes you feel good from all the aromas of essential oils and allows your skin to grab extra nutrients, too.
5. Remove Your Makeup Before Bed!
It clogs your pours allowing bacteria stuck inside to multiply and cause inflammation. Proper cleaning would keep your skin radiant and happy. It needs rest, too.
6. Touch Not Your Face with Fingers during the Day!
May forget this golden rule. Our hands and fingers are the best soil for the microbes of any sort. Very dangerous ones. If you constantly touch your face, you transplant all the pathogens onto a more vulnerable environment where they may proliferate abundantly. Be thoughtful when you cross that distance: hand to face.
7. Get More Sleep!
Lack of sleep shows best and first on your FACE! Burning regular midnight-oil thingy would definitely put you in the category of an unhealthy-looking skin.
8. Snack on Citrus!
These yummy fruit detoxify our liver and support kidney function. Obviously Vitamin C is used to prevent wrinkles.
With the body functioning at its peak, detoxified, our skin would be cleaner, fresher, brighter.
9. There’s No Scientific Proof that Chocolate Causes Acne!
Eat some! Rich in antioxidants, it contributes in protecting your skin from environmental damage.
10. Give A Punch… at the Gym!
With a lot of sweating you do while working out, all the impurities leave your body, allowing your skin self-cleanse and get rid of toxins. What an amazing Free way to Detoxify! Do it Regularly! Besides, physical exercises trigger our brain to release feel-good pheromones. It’s just That healthy
