Don’t Give Up. Give In.
Sometimes you can feel like giving up on trying to lose weight. That it’s not worth the effort, the constant need to lift your spirit. With such a long struggle behind you, so much more seeming to lie ahead, it can get really “old.”
It’s not that you’re giving up…nor will you. It is that your heart, your exhausted spirit, says you need a time out from dieting.
That’s when you have to pause and re-find your core. Why are you doing this? Does it matter? That’s where I was when The UnDiet Project asked me to work with them last year about this time. It was a breath of fresh air, and it has wonderfully changed my approach every day since.
Not a diet, The UnDiet Project, with Daily Life Affirmations, Devotionals, Slimming Family Recipes and more, reaches inside and helps you see your life in new, and invigorating ways. With increased motivation, keeping the weight off is much easier. To that I can personally attest.

Open the Window to Transcendence
We all seek transcendence in our lives. It is what drew us to those we have loved intimately…the promise of a melding together that would lift us above the ordinary in life. In those moments of interpersonal rapture, we felt a piece of the divine moving in us.
It is sure that the divine crawls deeply within us, informing our thoughts, shaping our values, touching our core in moments of deep despair. It is the lifting up of our hearts, the insights into living, the strength that beats within us that forms the core of who we are. More, it is the essential guide to our future.
It is easy to lose contact with the divine. It can be effortlessly tucked into a remote corner of our mind, only to be called forth with great effort when we need new strength. Yet, it is ever present, always willing to rise into our hearts and provide the spark of joy when it is most called for.
When we are in transition, from who we are and have been, to who we are becoming, it is not clear what role the divine plays in our efforts. It is sure to give us strength, if we allow it. It is sure to shine light on new paths, if we ask for it. It most suredly rewards us with love every step of the way, if we will notice it.
And that is the key point…we have to open the window if we expect fresh air to rush in. The first step of being aided by the divine is to prepare the way, and open our hearts to it. Once we do that, there is no limit to what it can do. All we need to do is to stay open to its possibilities.

Lifestyle changes are definitely key! If you don’t change the things around you, you are doomed to fail.
I love the idea of the undiet. I definitely think affirmation is a key to feeling better about ourselves, and making things more effective for sure
awesome advice. It is definitely a lot easier to lose weight when you change the way you think and also your lifestyle. I am gonna look into this project. thanks for sharing.
I think the undiet is probably the way to go. Diets just don’t work. But this sounds like it would be great!
I agree with Mommy Pehpot.. diets don’t work but lifestyle changes do.
I have tried dang near everything to lose weight but gimmicks just don’t work.
Losing weight is really not about dieting.. it’s a lifestyle. Though I posted a quick lose weight diet on my blog recently, I mentioned that dieting is really not an effective way to lose weight,
I definitely think it needs to be a gradual lifestyle change as opposed to just a diet. This is an interesting way to look at that.
I’m struggling with over weight and I need to check out the Undiet Project. Although it sounds good!
I’ve said this time and time again, dieting seems so temporary, like you’ll just go back to your old ways once you loose the weight you want to…t really does have to be a lifestyle change.
I think the word diets is discouraging but thinking of it as a lifestyle helps. I need to think this way after the baby is born!
This is a great way to look at the weight and health issues that are common to so many of us. It is so much more effective to make a lifestyle change than a diet adjustment.
I love this advice!! We are focusing on moving more and eating better instead of just a diet mentality!
I definitely try to avoid ‘diets’, they just never stick or work for me. I find that small lifestyle changes are exactly what helps me lose weight. When I give something up, like soda, it’s that lifestyle change that makes such a big difference.
It is definitely easier to lose weight when you make lifestyle changes rather than dieting and depriving. I need to check out the Undiet Project.
I’m definitely of the mindset that if we think of the changes we make as a ‘lifestyle change’ and not a diet it would take the pressure off, which would have a positive effect on the results.
