I am forever inspired by weddings and the abundance of opulence and creative thought that goes into preparation and the execution of one of the most memorable events of anybody’s lives.
Having lived half of my life in Hawaii, I am eternally connected to the Ocean. To the Windward breezes. To the Hawaii Kai and Hanauma Bay. Hawaii – the locals pronounce it Ha-Vah-ii – is the most majestical place on earth.
Once lived in Hawaii, you forever become part of the local Ohana, the Family, that is known for its warm and nurturing environment.
If you’ve been to Hawaii, you are totally submerged in local hospitality and traditions. The whole world would love to come to the islands for their vows renewals, anniversary celebrations, and… weddings.
Some of the innate attributes of Hawaiian weddings are richly-woven-with-flowers leis, muumuu dresses, and barefoot sandals.
The best places for a lavish lei is local markets or the ladies who specialize in lei-making. The same holds to muumuus.Though, there are amazing small boutique stores where the whole wedding party could be clad and dressed in the color scheme of your choice.
As for the barefoot sandals, it takes a bit of creativity and time to come up with the uplifting ensemble of sand-friendly shoes! I’ve just discovered a marvelous artist and creator of barefoot sandals – Jan who captivated me with her imagination and a wild range of barefoot sandals for any occasion you may want to celebrate!
Featured in this post are some of my favorite designs by Jan. Notice detail and color coordination. Sometimes it’s a medallion in the middle that draws attention. Sometimes it’s a beautiful presentation and a sequence of crystals that inspires a festive mood.
With Jan’s barefoot sandals, you are ready to celebrate every day! The vibrance of color, the quality of crystal beads, and variety of designs – all that transfers me to the sunny beaches of Hawaii, my home away from home.
What’s really impressive about these sandals is that they could be worn to any celebration on the beach, any festive occasion that allows the appropriateness of such shoes. And finally, barefoot sandals are a perfect pair of shoes for home wear!
Yep, you’ve heard it. I’ve been wearing sandals by Jan at home. Why, you’ll ask? They inspire me. They put a smile on my face every time I glance at my feet. I love pieces of my clothes that could be inspirational and uplifting.
Jan’s barefoot sandals are a perfect example of part of our personal wardrobe that could inspire and prompt a wonderful day ahead!
Jan, thank you so much for putting part of who you are within into barefoot sandals.
Next time I’m off to Hawaii, these beaded Jewels by Jan will be traveling with me to celebrate Aloha on the beach.

It’s never late to get a pair for your in-house use or walks on the beach!

Alanna,
You’re right! Get them for your house wear instead of slippers! I wear them all day long and love to be inspired by the beauty they carry within. Really, I smile every time I look at them!
