This year is huge for Disney. They are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Studios and the 60th Diamond Anniversary for their first Disney park opening. The Walt Disney Archives is the place to be and to learn these days. We visited their headquarters and had a powerful tour around their facility.
Things and facts we learn while on the tour are truly magnificent! Obviously it took years and a lot of labor of love to collect and organize all things related to Disney’s history and development. Here are some of the most memorable moments from the Walt Disney Archives that are currently on display.
Commemorating a huge milestone in the Walt Disney’s dream factory history, my eyes picked out some of the most amazing exposition items ever – of course from my humble point of view!
The Disney Archives is the place for historic materials, equipment that allowed the Walt Disney Studios to march forward with progressive shooting of their movies and animation; personal items used by the Disney family members, and objects used in movie sets.

There’s a phenomenal section with the archives and memorabilia from the 1964 World’s Fair theme. The elements from the Fair were used in the Disney upcoming movie Tomorrowland, opening May 22 in theaters everywhere! A family movie with kids to see. It can inspire both grown-ups and kids to look at their lives in a new way. Present and Future are all ours for the taking. And this taking gotta be something powered with our soul and actions.
Walt Disney’s vision of the future materialized in his building a Tomorrowland that is one of the popular sections in Disneyland. Things from the future inspire imagination and allow kids, as well as grown-ups, to touch the part of their thinking and feeling that is all about dreaming and thinking of things that will be. Imagination is one step away from those who allow themselves to dream.

Another spectacular moment during the Walt Disney Archives visit was this one – Holding an Oscar! A real one that was awarded for the “White Wilderness.”
