I love cooking! I live and breath by my original recipes.
My husband loves what I make so much that I need to agree with him that I cannot make any dish or recipe twice. That’s how creative I am with all my daily cooking!
It may be funny, but I do put my moment-by-moment feelings, emotions, and all the veggies and other foods I’ve got on hand into a recipe I am cookin’.
Cooking skills are essential for anybody. And they are acquired from our childhood.
When I was growing up, I watched my mom and grandmothers preparing all kinds of yummy and tasteful dishes. And what was truly inspiring and energizing to me that they always included us, children into the process.
It was not only watching with my eyes. It was practicing again and again and again. A gazillion of ways of preparing potatoes, of making pickled cucumbers or canning a couple of dozens of berry types.
And I loved eating what I made with my little hands when I was a little girl. I remember my mom always encouraged us to make something when she was busy with dumplings or dough for pastries and pies. I would make dough men and different animals or ornaments with sguigly-roos (just a word coined out by me). And then I would wait patiently for all these things to be boiled or baked and delivered piping hot to my plate! THAT was the most exciting thing I remember.
Thank you Mom and my both Grandmas (now passed away) for the wonder-filled times of cooking with you. Though they were just kid times around the table. Actually, they were lessons of wisdom and the cooking lessons that could never be taught anywhere else. They could only be CAUGHT.
That’s why I so much appreciate my authentic recipes that I wished for a long time to be organized and pick any recipy almost at the whim when I wanted.
I found something so nifty and so handy for any modern woman in a modern kitchen (it could be floor-to-wall antique, with modern attitude). Check it out and remember when one day you’ll wish to be organized with thousand recipes at hand.
