Some people do like to make New Year’s Resolutions. Some don’t. Whatever you are doing this year, there’s no denying the fact that we all love to eat deliciously. In our family, “Delicious” is synonymous with “Nutritious.”
Preparing meals from affordable quality products from your local grocery store or farmer’s market would catapult you to success in your weight loss goals and your overall well-being. And those of you who care about Weight Watchers endorsed products, you could find them easily in your local stores!
Here are some ideas, simple and to the point, how to maximize your potential to achieve success in losing and then maintaining a healthy weight.
#1 Check Out A Frozen Veggies Section in your Store!
It is an overseen fact that Frozen veggies, as well as fruit. capture more vitamins, minerals and nutrients overall to deliver to your table, thus, contribute to your health. My local favorite store to shop is Publix. They have thousands of coupons to save on produce and frozen delicious meals! Sign up for those savings in Publix coupons that would be automatically uploaded to your account and used when you check out!
I always go for Green Giant frozen veggies and some simple recipes from them. Servings are consumed in one meal for the family of 3-4. I like fresh and nutrient-dense options. Fiber in vegetables is one of your “secret” ingredients to allow you to start losing weight. It “scrubs” all those fat deposits and allows better elimination from your system. You feel and gain so much more in life by losing all those extra fat deposits.
#2 Plan Your Dinners or Big Meals for The Week
It may sound silly or laborious to plan out for one full week. It is Simple, yet Powerful!
Pull out your calendar and mark each day with the Title for the Recipe or Meal you are going to prepare. It eliminates any guessing, psyches you up for each each what to cook, and allows you to remember what to pick up from the store when you are in a hurry every day!
Look what I made with yummy simple ingredients for two dinners in the past two days! Proteins and non-starchy veggies and some herbs to add aroma and appetite for enjoyment. Some Delicious Recipes for Successful Weight Loss.

I could live on soups!! I love the Progresso Light soups. They have more healthy ingredients in there that fill me up.
I have also put in frozen broccoli, corn beans, etc. in my soups before I heat them up – yummy!!
I definitely want to lose a couple of pounds this year. Your post with some great recipes will definitely help me do that. Diet and exercise is key!
Love this idea. It sounds like a simple way to have healthy foods. Brocolli is my daughters favourite veggie. The pictures you have placed here looks very delicious. This is the first time I have heardd about this Green Giant frozen veggies. Will have to add this in my shopping list. Thanks for sharing
Sorry for the double comment, but this one does not contain the spelling errors, and it was irking me that I clicked ‘post comment’ before I could correct it.
One of my favorite frozen veggies is the Birds Broccoli StirFry Mix, which I use to make a healthy Beef and Broccoli recipe. It is soooo good! I read that frozen veggies and fruits are healthier than you would expect beause they are flash frozen when they are fresh.

These are great tips. I would love to start meal planning for my family.
Looks great! I would suggest cutting out the pasta as you already had another carb on your plate (corn).
Scott,
Totally agree! He he, you’re watching!
Usually, I just have protein and Non-starchy veggies on my plate. But sometimes, I do add some starchy foods like pasta as a treat.
I read in one clinical study some years ago that combining Proteins + Starchy Foods like Pasta, Rice, Potatoes allows 50% more fat formation vs when these foods are eaten separately (not in one meal) or combined with Non-starchy veggies!
Good thinking, my buddy!
I love using frozen veggies! I have found that my family eats them more readily if I pan sear them in just a bit of olive oil. Yum. Thanks for the great coupons too.
YUM! Great tips. I’ve never heard of the tuscan broccoli and I already added it to my shopping list. THANKS!

I try to make healthy choices every time I go to the store. When I eat good food, I feel really good. The same thing goes for how I feel after I eat a dozen cookies! =(
I have already been trying to make better choices at the grocery store. Since we are stocked up on good foods, I tend to be less tempted to go out to eat.
I struggle with frozen vegetables lately. It is getting harder and harder to find ones not already in sauces and butter. You really have to pay attention to those labels!
It’s definitely the planning of the meals I fall down on, great tips and the soup looks really good will have to have a look for it next time shopping.
Progresso soups are great to take to work for lunch, too…very convenient.
I think the idea to plan your meals is a great one an Progresso Light soup is a great quick snack option!
These healthy options look delicious. I haven’t really bought frozen veggies much, but I guess come in handy when you’re trying to plan meals out! Thanks for sharing!
I loosely plan meals every week. That way I have wiggle room to adjust if there is a great sale. I love the Progresso Light Loaded Potato soup though! So Yummy!
I love Frozen Veggies! In my adulthood I have embraced more foods I was never exposed to as a child and I believe I’m healthier from it.
I love vegetables and so they feature heavily on our plates. I fall down by not meal planning – that’s when it all goes wrong!
Lots of good tips here! The veggies esp looks so nutritious. I read somewhere that frozen food when done right keeps most of the nutrients compared to fresh food. I like green giants brand.
Those look like really healthy meal options. I really need to start meal planning, it’d save me so much hassle.
Ahhhhhh these all sound like beyond delicious meals!!! I love the green giant steemers!! For a frozen product they Are pretty tasty!
Love these tips! Meal planning makes the biggest difference and then actually sticking with the plan! 🙂 Keeping frozen veggies is a great tip. Thanks!
We always plan our dinners out for the entire week, that way when we come home and want to grab fast food, we already know what we are having that night so we skip the fast food! Having a planned meal has really helped me stay on track <3
Those are some great and healthy options. I love how easy it is to have those canned and frozen products on hand.
These are some really great tips and alot of them I follow already. Progresso soups are a big hit in our house. I have given up frying food and tend to bake or steam things more often. The frozen vegetables are something that I never bought until this past year and now it is all we eat! Great ideas.
My biggest downfall is not planning meals. I end up either grabbing junk food or ordering out. I really need to sit down and plan out a few things, grab some healthier snacks and what not. It would make my wallet and my waist so much happier!
I’ve found that planning meals is so essential when trying to watch your weight. Doing so helps make sure that you will have healthy food on hand, whereas otherwise you might be tempted to reach for something not so healthy.
