Playing is an important developmental stage in each child’s growth. I remember my own childhood and how fascinated I was with the ability to cloth my dolls, to make dresses and aprons and hats for them.

I remember studying again and again their eyes, doing and re-doing their hairdos again and again. This process of playing with dolls has been an ongoing process and I learned different skills while playing, like sewing, cradling a baby doll, having a conversation with a “real person” –  my doll. All of that builds a platform for a richer life, healthy self-esteem, and compassionate attitude towards people.

  46. I’m a little young to be able to fully appreciate Little House On The Prarie but I think it’s amazing that even after being around so long, they’re still around and making dolls now!
