Bronte Carmichael is a charming young lady who comes into the movie industry with her own savvy, sweet attitude and an incredible talent. She plays a Christopher Robin’s daughter and makes this role incredibly believable. We want to see more of this young actress who is still a child in her playful attitude and this amazing interview we had.
Bronte Carmichael Discovered She Got A Role from Her Mother
Bronte’s mom did it in a very special way. She bought a plush Eeyore and hid it in the garden. Bronte found Eeyore with a note “Looking forward to our adventures in the 100 acre woods.”
The movie is an incredible insight our personal relationships with our family, children and colleagues. Bronte’s character Madeline handles an incredibly hard time with her dad, Christopher Robin who is played by Ewan McGregor, in an accepting and kind way.
FUN FACT: All the drawings you see in the movie have been done by Bronte Carmichael!
One of the questions was if it was hard to act with stuffed animals. Bronte’s answer was so sweet!
I have lots of toys at home, so it’s easy to act with stuffed animals. It’s fun. And then it’s sort of a different experience acting with actors, ‘cause, you know, they can be really nice people, and you know, they’re yeah, really friendly.
It’s too early to say if Bronte will pursue an acting career. But from this movie alone, she has expressed so much poise and maturity that sky’s the limit what she could do in the future.
FUN FACT: Bronte Carmichael’s parents are both ACTORS!
I quite liked all the action scenes. I did my own stunt where I tripped. I also liked cycling as well, it was really fun.
Bronte Carmichael had not difficulty memorizing her lines for the movie. The young actress shared with us that she would look at the lines first, then speak them out loud, then try to imagine the scene, then act out the scene.
She worked hard, and the moments of rest were rare. But all on the set found a moment to laugh and have a great time. Here’s a joke she really adored during the filming of the movie.
I remember this one time where, um, we were waiting for a really long time. It’s the scene before where, um, me Hayley and Ewan were all about to run, run on and save, um, Christopher Robin’s work, and um, yeah. So we were waiting round the side of the building, and you will notice like, some screws in the wall.
And he askes one of the AD’s to chuck him a sharpie and he drew like a really detailed face of, of, on, on the screws, and it’s, uh, and we call him Fred. And he’s pulling a face like this… [LAUGHS]. Yeah, so yeah, and we were a little bit late running on after that.
My Memories from CHRISTOPHER ROBIN WORLD PREMIERE
Bronte Loves To Play With Her Stuffed Animals at Home
In the movie, the scenes with animals – or without them at all in front of green screen or with strange objects – reflect Madeline’s earning for love and acceptance by her father. One fo the Easter Eggs in the movie is her attire that reflects her dad’s clothes when he was a boy. It shows how close these two characters are, and both need love and understanding and nurture.
