nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin – What’s It Good For? 
Living in high humidity has some consequences. For example, frizzy hair. For quite a while, I’ve been on my eternal search of finding products that work for my hair in the current climate. Mainly, I just want it to look sleek and straight.
I have to go to the professional salon to have a professional Brazilian Keratin processing done there. First, it’s not a cheap process. Second, I have to do it every 4-5 weeks. On my long hair, I spend $320 per visit that includs only Brazilian Keratin treatment. You do the math how much I have to budget for my hair to keep it frizz free.
When I was offered to test some Brazilian Keratin products from the nuNAAT company, I totally went for it. My thinking is if I only could find something I could do from home that did the “trick” to my frizzed hair, then it would be a real magic happening in front of me!
nuNAAT has offered me to evaluate their system of Brazilian Keratin that was designed for exclusive home use. Obviously, my Top 3 Components for evaluation were:
- Can these products really make my hair sleek and frizz free?
- Would my hair be manageable and clean after applying the whole system? And
- Would the process be easy enough for home use?
Here are my findings after I’ve put the entire nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin hair care system to the test.
The products that are included into this nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin treatment: Daily Care Shampoo, Daily Care Conditioner, Intensive Hair Mask, and Leave-In Reconstructor.
Did the use of these nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin products make my hair sleek and frizz free?
The regular usage of this entire system definitely made my hair softer. However, the fly-away frizzy effect was still present. To get a sleek look, I had to use hair flat iron.
What I found out though was that I could skip the use of Conditioner and proceed to the Intensive Hair Mask. Conditioner did not contribute any visible effect to my long hair. But the Mask did make a difference. I experimented with time-effect ratio for the mask. I had a 15-minute mask once a week, and 5-minute mask for the times in between the washings. Five or fifteen minutes, it really did not show a huge difference that I could notice. But I used a longer time to allow the “internal” process of keratin ingredients to do some repair on my hair cuticles.
Was my hair clean and manageable after the use of the entire nuNAAT Brazilian Keratin system?
Yes. I was very much satisfied with shampoo and its cleansing effect. The hair was very manageable after each wash and all product application.
Is the process easy enough to use at home for everyone?
Yes. All products are used in the same manner as if you were to use any other shampoo and conditioner. Allowing the mask to stay on for several more minutes is the only change that you need to be aware of.
The products are good and gentle enough to be used for daily hair cleansing. I also love that these products are Formaldehyde and Sodium Chloride free.
As far as my sleek hair goes, I would like to try NAAT Relax Super formula. It is a kit that has some application steps. I would definitely try it. I would love to see it work for my hair. Until next time report.
