BPA free is awesome, but there are many other chemical compounds in plastics that are either known to be harmful or that have potential to be harmful under certain circumstances. I know it isn’t always economically feasible for everyone, but we use glass and steel drinking vessels for this reason and most of our drinking vessels are reused spaghetti sauce jars.
