A new school year is upon us. We have been back in school for about 2 weeks, and I am pleased to say everything is going great! I am blessed to say my daughter is in a school that we can both be proud of, as they really take pride in their students. That is why when it comes to supporting school activities and programs, we are doing it with our open hearts and minds.
We are always thinking of ways we can help my daughter’s school throughout the school year. Working from home, I have the ability to come into the classroom and help out her teacher, serve on the PTA, and support after school activities.
Box Tops Are An Easy Way To Show Your School You Care!
Another thing I always do to give a helping hand to my child’s school is to collect Box Tops throughout the year. It is by far the easiest way we can directly help her school by boosting their cash fund.
If you are not familiar with Box Tops, it is a Nation-wide program that allows many brands and companies to participate by giving schools cash for the collected Box Tops special clippings from their products. The only effort that it calls for is to cut our that special Box Top items from the packaging and submit it to your child’s school. Usually, you would collect these clippings and then bring them as your collection to your child’s classroom.
To encourage kids and parents to support their local classrooms and schools, the school administration may announce competition among all grades and classrooms to collect the most of the Box Tops during the year. The excitement that comes with that is something to watch for!
My kids are adamant about checking every food package for the Box Tops! As a family, we do have a special jar that gets all the clippings before they are being sent to school for the final countdown!
Another benefit of participating in a Box Tops program for your child’s school is cultivating a shopping experience with your child. By taking your child with you to shop, pointing out the products that have Box Tops, explaining the importance of such programs – we are showing a sincere solidarity with the values our child is raised at school and in our society. To instill a sense of importance and ability to make a difference – are some of the cornerstone behaviors we can ever develop in our growing children.
